Sara McMann calls out Miesha Tate. And Tate accepts.

Please let this happen. I know it's not going to produce a number one contender, but I really believe this division needs marque match ups like this. Let me know what you guys think.

Very few will, signature wins or not (especially the first time they meet her, Ronda has this effect where you only grasp just how good she is first time she puts her hands on you -- before that you think "oh, I know she's good, but so am I", a-la Bethe).

I think that's why Miesha did better the second time, she was missing the shock factor that Ronda's aggressiveness, power and grappling technique bring.

Bethe too will be shocked into realization when she meets Ronda for the first time.

@Brauxpati, agreed man, based on history Miesha's the better pick ... this one's a gut feeling of mine watching both of them fight.

And remember, I watch Miesha fighting with hearts in my eyes, so this coming from a dude who constantly thinks she's better than she really is (I picked her to beat Ronda at UFC 168, that's how blinded I am :))) )

Who has Sheila Gaff fought since she was mauled by McMann???? Amanda Nunes, and she was mauled halfway thru the round. Although i'm still not sure what to think of Nunes, it certainly doesn't help a case that Sarah McMann mauled one fighter in the UFC and just won a split decision against Lauren Murphy.

And don't discount Ronda saying she wanted to let her last to beat her up for 3 rounds. Meisha escaped one armbar in that fight, which is one more than everyone else Ronda has fought. She also bum rushed her and caught her on the chin a few times with her "mediocre" striking.

I think this fight is a coin flip away from picking the winner and probably goes to a SD. Either way, we are talking about supposedly the #2,3 females in the BW division and we all know neither one of them stands a chance against Ronda. The only thing that makes this division exciting is a few good looking girls and waiting to see Ronda maul someone. The last remaining unkown is Cat Zingano and she'll let us know how she fares this weekend after a horrendous year.

I love Miesha Tate. She is forever my boo. But McMann would beat her relatively easy.

As for who anyone beat, it means nothing. Who did Weidman beat before defeating the GOAT MW? Means nothing.


As for this fight Yoss has it right IMO. Tate actually offers very little to McMann. Sarah is the far better wrestler and has better striking. I give Tate the submission edge, but doubt McMann gets put in a bad spot. It's all just opinions but I really doubt Tate wins this one. 

Both girls need a high profile win though, especially with all this high talent coming over to the UFC. Relevance is key (win or lose), just ask Frank Mir.
