Kennedy doesn't have Romero's firepower, but he's got the gas tank and more rounded skill set than in his Strikeforce days.

@nogfan, I think people are going for the 18-4 ranger over the 8-1 Olympian who doesn't like to use his wrestling that much and doesn't have the same pep in his step he did when he was the Olympian (and as @skeli said, doesn't have half the gas tank Kennedy does) :)

I think I'm going to pick Romero because I love the dude and for some very stupid reason that's totally beyond me I usually pick who I like and not who I think will win, but if you're asking who I think's gonna win, I would go for Kennedy.

I would rather see Romero win here, but I just think that Kennedy's ground game is going to put him over the edge in this one.

Kennedy fight with Bisping was pathetic and kennedy just about said that after that performance. That grappling he has won't work vs Romero and he will just push him off and KO kennedy in 2nd round. I don't even see this as a tough fight for Yoel.

Speaking of olympians i wrestled with Cael Sanderson. He made faces at me the whole time while i was going hard. I could tell he was going about 25%. The guy is ******* hilarious.

I didn't see Romero wrestle in the Olympics, but he looks explosive and athletic in there now. I think he'll have plenty pep in his step for Kennedy.

Yeah would never question Romero's wrestling chops, but I think Kennedy's grappling is better suited to mma. Agree with yoss that the Brunson fight was eye-opening. I see Kennedy suffocating him and taking him down, although I'd love to see some of those crazy takedowns that Romero hit in his non-UFC fights. And he's just very hittable. Not sure he has enough time to make a real run tbh

Romero keeps getting better and better and is one of the most decorated wrestler's in UFC history. That being said i think he knocks out kennedy in first or second round.

Yoel Romero is the scariest middleweight after Vitor Belfort. The mini-hulk has immense KO power and is an Olympic-level Judo expert. But I question his gas tank and Tim Kennedy is a wily vet capable of surviving any fighter's onslaught. I'll take him to outlast Romero to a decision
