I went back all the way to the 20th page and didn't see anyone who started a thread about movies. If there is one, just let this thread sink away into the abyss of thread history, but if not, this is something we can talk about. We've got one for every sport, music, and TV shows. So I figured might as well.

I prefer to b the 1 doing the *******

Also my days of ******* juvenile delinquents are well behind me. These days I mostly **** white belts on tapology. With the occasional stripper here and there. Oh yeah and fat girls. Fat girls are awesome. Drunk girls is a real turn off though unless I'm drunk too. Asians too. Damn I love me some Asians but nowadays everybody is worried about getting the kung flu. *****s are pretty cool too. Don't forget my long time girlfriend Celina palmandfist! It's been me and Celina this whole outbreak man I'm sick of her. I miss the strip club.

Re-watched Django Unchained a while ago...

Man that film didn't hold up as well as I thought it would.

The film is still enjoyable as Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Samuel Jackson, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kerry Washington and Walter Goggins' performances are still top notch.  That said, elements of the story that are historically inaccurate as well as some of the soundtrack choices broke the immersion for me.  Also, some of the elements of the story with the hard switch from hunting down the bounties of the brothers to rescuing Broomhilde from Candyland was kind of jarring in how it was done.

The lack of development of other characters such as Dennis Christopher's character was also a missed opportunity as well.  It also sucked that Tarantino was going through the motions of trying to make a western but making it more of an exploitation film more in line with Jackie Brown or Inglorious Basterds than a true blue western.   Hell even the Fred Williamson starred "Legend of N*gger Charley", which is what this film was trying to emulate, did better at capturing the western vibe than Django. And it sucks because I do love the concept of Django and like a lot of the dialogue in the movie as well as the setting.

The thing that hurts this movie more than it should imo is that Hateful Eight wasn't the sequel to this. That could have tied up a lot of loose ends and fixed some of the elements that were lackluster in the original film.

I would still watch Django Unchained and still enjoy it.  That said, the flaws of the film came to the surface and I think showed the beginning signs of Tarantino's waning creative genius.

Yeah, I think that's one of Tarantino's worst TBH. I didn't really enjoy it apart from DiCaprio, who was ******* great.

I REALLY didn't like once upon a time in Hollywood....Polanski is a *************, I don't like how he's given a pass.

@Fishrat

The amount of rope Hollywood gives to Polanski is abominable.

I read the book, it was great. Not as good as Blood Meridian which I personally think is McCarthy's best work (masterpiece) but extremely good. A lot more ****** up than the film.
