Let's speculate. I think Cathal cruises in the MW bracket, his resume was already good enough that he should have been signed direct to the UFC anyway. I find him to be a bit boring, but he gets the job done. I think I'll be rooting for Van Buren to win the LHW bracket because he is from my state, used Travis Brown elbows to get the KO, and it would be satisfying for a "Bellator reject" to win the show. Who do you all favor?

Id have to watch it over again. But I'm sure it's gonna be an Edgar finale from what I could tell from the teams. I think Cathal wins this first fight though.

The only think I care about in this season is that it finishes fast so we can get TUF 20 started ... not that I think it's a bad one, just so excited to have the 115 division already in place with a champ, those badass chicks have already been benched for way too long.

No one on TUF 19 cast excites me more than any of the 115ers on the show. Especially now Jessica Penne said she's trying out (which is a ******* travesty in itself that she even has to, but it is what it is).

TUF 19 cast is definitely the best they've produced in a while.

I've trained with Pat Walsh in the past. He lives right by me. He's beastly strong and sick on the ground, so we'll see how far he goes. Word around here is he may be in the finale, but I heard the same talk about Tom Lawlor back in the day and then he got KTFO'd by Bader on the show.

I hope we get to see Lima or Pendred in the final. But as always, those matchups you want at the beginning of the show usually never happen.

Just finished watching the first episode and it actually got me pumped as **** for this season! Frankie's 185 team is beast. Dude that beat Lyman Good looks solid as ****. Hopefully Cathal can even **** up and give BJ a finalist (and hopefully a winner).

Just seeing BJ in such awesome shape and really into things almost brought tears to my eyes ... he looks like he can make 155 right there and then. Man, if he can start a "one last legend's run" in that Frankie fight it'd be frickin' awesome. His George Foreman wins the belt he lost to Ali 20 years before at the age of 45 moment.

By the way, am I the only one that found it a tad weird the whole thing with not being able to find an opponent for Cathal ... like maybe they wanted to be 100% sure he'd get in the house? Like maybe he was promised that when they asked him to give up CW belt and come on the show?

@kallous, yeah I was joking ... also, I don't think they want him bad in the company but I'm pretty sure they wanted him bad in the show ... having a CW champ on TUF gives it a serious solidified boost when it comes to talent level, not to the point they'd fix his entry but I'm pretty sure he was one of the top 3 they wanted in there. Also, I'm pretty sure Lyman Good's matchup was no fluke either. He was matched up with a "real" 185er who can seriously grapple. Plus I can promise you Conor's been in Dana's ear constantly about Cathal and having him on TUF is a way for them to see if he can hack it, I'm pretty sure he's not the type of fighter they's love to sign straight up so having him on TUF seems like a perfect way to tell Conor "we gave your guy a chance, he didn't make it" or alternatively add the TUF winner to his already marketable CW champ and you've got a guy with hype already built for when he does come in.
