This is gonna be a good one. I do think Brown should have gotten someone like Rory, though. Also, I guess this confirms Rich Franklin won't have his retirement fight in front of his home town? I'm assuming he would have been main event.

Tough fight for both.

They keep setting Brown up against these young bucks (Jordan Mein and Stephen Thompson) and Brown is continuously victorious.

However I'm going with Silva. I think his athleticism and creativeness serves him well in this fight, while Brown plows forward.

When Brown won his last fight, I thought the natural, obvious match for him would have been Robbie Lawler.  Two guys flaming hot, streaking and looking scary.  But they didn't make the fight.

Too bad they didn't wait for Robbie to finish with Hendricks and then make this fight if Robbie lost..  Oh well.

This fight might be good.  If Matt can get right back into the same head space he was in, he should be too well-equipped for Erick.  Erick is finding the UFC isn't as easy as he once imagined it would be.

I gotta go with Matt Brown by KO in the 3rd, after Erick starts to wear out.

Can't help being disappointed that Matt will have to wait to get someone higher ranked.  But I guess his injury is responsible for that.  But if Matt wins, they must give him someone higher up the food chain.  I still want Brown vs. Lawler at some point.  Brown must not be made gatekeeper.

Brown went to fighting Condit to getting Erick Silva.....He's sort of getting the shaft.but I'm sure there's a bit more to it. I think Mein is.better than Silva to be honest...Younger, Bigger, More experienced, More Technical. More conditioned,.better combinations ect. Brown should win but it's going to be nuts.while it lasts.

Honestly I wanted Brown vs Rory or Brown vs Kim II but I suppose it would of been farr to quick a  around for either man. Erick Silva hasn't really earned a top 10 opponent nor is he in the top 15 himself but man does Ericks hype run strong.

This is a good fight for Brown. He wins it by tko and picks up a bonus. Increases his stock and gets a higher ranked opponent. Hope he doesn't break a hand, though.

I know people are disappointed that Brown didn't get a higher ranked guy, but the Ohio boy wanted to main event a Cincinnati fight card. Can't blame him for that.

Can't blame the UFC either for not getting a higher ranked guy for Brown. All the other top 15 WW's are booked currently except for Rory and Dong-Hyun, but I could see both not wanting a quick turnaround while having to train for a five round fight.

Maia and Kampmann are two fringe top ten guys in the division that are available, however both are on a multiple fight losing streak, hard to see them in a main event fight against a guy on a six fight win streak. Maia and Kampmann should just fight each other.

Good things will happen to Brown with a victory over Silva.

I see this fight being similar to Brown's fight with Mein where he was hurt but ended up rallying for the TKO

As a fan I like this fight, but I think Brown should be facing someone higher ranked. Being a Brown fan its also a pretty scary fight, Matt is immortal but Silva hits hard, but so do Mein and Thompson.

Would have liked to see Dong vs. Brown II for this card, but would've been a quick turnaround for Dong.

I think Brown get's another 1st round KO here. Silva had his hands full with a berzerker Dong, so i don't think he'll be able to handle Browns onslaught.

This fight doesn't really make sense in my opinion, Brown for sure gets the win.

I don't know why it doesn't make sense.

Who would make more sense logically. Perhaps I believe the E.Silva hype, because I consider him a top 15 WW.

I can't believe I'm thinking about counting Brown out again but I might actually pick Silva in this one ... I think he's more desperate ...
