One thing I'll say about this fight. The fighters that McMann struggled against, that she took to the 3rd round or won by decision... would lose to Ronda much faster. Just saying...

Sara has the wrestling and the strength to match up with Ronda. I think Sara has this. Ronda has holes in her game and Sara is perfect to exploit them.

A battle of 2 olympians, both from the Athens games but McMann is a silver medalist while Rousey is a bronze medalist. This should be an awesome fight.

McMann's silver medal in wrestling is worth far less than Rousey's bronze in Judo. Judo has been in the Olympics far longer, as in three decades longer, and has a much deeper international talent pool.

We shall see. I personally think McMann's wrestling could play right into Rousey's game.

Not to mention Rousey is a finisher. McMann's best case scenario is she can lay on top all day. Too much danger for her there, she'll get caught in an armbar sooner or later.

skelliher Mcmann lost in the finals match to Kaori Icho one of the best female freestyle wrestlers of all time who's held a stranglehold on the 63 kg weight class for years, has a 153 winning streak, is a 7 time world champion and a 3 time olympic champion. Rousey lost Edith Bosch in the quarterfinall match and then beat Annet Bohem for the bronze medal.. Bosch was a world champion in 2005. Annet Bohem was a bronze medalist at the 2003 worlds.
Sara Mcmann's medal means quite a bit more than Rousey's.

Medals and NCAA Championships don't count in MMA.

What matters is wrestling for MMA, judo for MMA, jits for MMA, etc.

For example, Koscheck was an NCAA Div. 1 Champion and four-time All American. GSP had no wrestling credentials that I'm aware of and absolutely tossed Josh around at will.

All those medals and trophies get left outside the cage.

I agree with Timtek that medals and trophies are left outside the cage, but isn't it a little more than coincidence that McMann, Rousey, Askren, and Cormier's combined record is 40 - 0? Don't **** with Olympians.

I expected better from you Skelli.

Another thing to think about is that Rousey's medal came in a gi, whereas McMann basically had on what she fights in. In the end it's not going to come down to medals anyways, so far Rousey's Judo has translated great to MMA but she also hasn't faced someone with the grappling credentials of McMann
