Conor McGregor's trying his best to annoy a top FW so that he can fight them.

Here's his tweet:  "Aldo-Safe. Mendes-135er. Lamas-Nobody cares. Cub-OLD. TKZ-Open. Edgar-135er. Siver-OLD. Poirier-PeaHead. Guida-Boring. Lentz-Boring. Koch-?."

He's charismatic and he's a pretty good fighter, but maybe he should only call out 2 or 3 fighters at a time. Cub Swanson would make for heckuva fight.

Meh.

I like McGregor, but he should worry about getting on the main card first and then start calling guys out.

Mendes 135er... Cub old... ??? Really, i love the way he fights but he needs to be tested. Beating up Max Holloway doesn't exactly mean he's top 5 right now

I think he is 2 wins away from most of the fighters he's calling and I think  a couple of them would beat him right now for sure

Lol. Pretty sure this was Ricardo Lamas' response:

"When you want to overthrow a king you don't worry about the jester, you go after the person sitting on the thrown [sic]."

Looks like everyone else just ignored him. Lolz. His trolling level is going to have to dramatically increase for these guys to take notice apparently.

So, apparently McGregor said about 2/3 of UFC fighters are rookies. He better hope he doesn't get matched up with the wrong "rookie."

he´s trying to act pissed because the rabbit took his lucky charms but I think this hurt McGregor more than it helped him, he is doing great fighting, he should keep his mouth shut and keep fighting, people love him, Dana love him things will come to him he just needs to beat 2-3 more guys and he´ll have his shot, but this just makes him look silly.

Everyone loves a trash-talker, especially if they have the gift for it, as Conor seems to.  And we really like it when they fight as great as Conor does, too.  But this tough Irish kid is obviously in a hurry to get big fights and make big money.

He's no dummy and see that trash-talking works.  I love his fighting style of unorthodox strikes and front kicks.  But it is also clear to me that he has a long way to go in terms of fighting tactics.

When they do give him the better guys, he will need to evolve his slow, plodding, clumsy style.  The speed guys in the UFC would eat him alive.  Aldo, Faber, Guida, Edgar would be landing all over his face and getting out before he could raise his leg to front-kick.  He will need to quicken his movements and develop a ground game with aggressive submissions if he hopes to capture any division belts.

He announced that he was competitive at 135, 145 and 155.  That is a big spread.  I'd love to see him take on the big boys and see what happens.  Right now, he's one of my favorites, along with Khabib Nurmagomedov.

I'd really like to see them tangle eventually, but expect Khabib to tear him apart.  And yes, I'm aware they're in different divisions.

Here's a vid for McGregor's ideas on the other fighters at FW.

Watching that video you get the impression that it was mmefighting's idea for him to play word association. Anyways, there's nothing wrong with someone who enjoys the kind of winning streak McGregor is on to push it to the limit. Let's see how far he can go and who if anyone puts a stop to him.

Love Connor McGregor, but most of those guys have a really good chance at beating him right now. I can't see him beating Mendes, Lamas, Lentz, TKZ or Edgar at this time. I can see Koch, Poirer and Siver being decent match-ups for him right now. If Brandao is down, that is honestly the fight that should happen.

Conor has the right idea but he's getting ahead of himself...

I am very much for it though. It's one of the most popular and exciting divisions in the UFC so it needs a "bad guy" to start pissing some people off...

How many guys in that division wanted Aldo, said nothing and then *****ed about not getting that fight after it was too late? Do your talking in the octagon but if you want a fight then let the UFC know and if you deserve it then more likely than not, you'll get it.

I'm sick of this "it would be an honor to fight him" ********, Lamas, being a perfect example. Cub Swanson has more hype behind him and Ricardo beat him 3 fights ago...

I hate trash talk with nothing to back it up but Conor has the skills so It's time for someone to shake the division up and really make things interesting..

@AnAlias Cub has been in there with top competition, has a lot of fights and the longevity in the smaller weight classes is usually not great.

if you look at my favorites, you will see Cub in there, but he may very well get old soon.

It was his trainer who asked for and got Brandao, so he at least knows where Conor is at even if Conor himself doesn't.
