The real issue is he grabbed it to break it while most guys get a limb and make the guy feel some pain to give him the option to tap. Then if he doesn't tap it gets broken. Mir has talked about that before. You want to win but you don't want to hurt the guy. Palhares doesn't give a ****. If he grabs a leg he'll try to break it immediately.

^ Making excuses for that horse****...this is like the 5th time he's held way longer than the tap and has put guys out with terrible injuries because of it in the past. Quit defending him...he's a *************, and if he's that 'mentally ******'...then don't let him fight, he's a danger to everyone including Dana/UFC brand. Babalu was gone forever after one time holding a choke, this is far past Palhares 3rd strike.
Hopefully his weak ass chin gets smashed again in his next fight and he's KO'd...and the other guy takes a few aftershots.
Also, Pierce is a ******* idiot...his stand-up and power is way better than Palhares, and he tried to wrestle with him and grapple..stupid ass.

Hell, I think it's hilarious they took away his sub of the night bonus and that they're going to punish him. I really wish they'd give him someone that would bash his skull into the canvas for 2 or 3 minutes after he was out cold. He deserves it.

I think it calls for a suspension preferably a long one. This isn't the first time he's done this and has more than likely been warned about it. I say give him his walking papers no need to put anyone else in danger or at least a year suspension hurt his pocketbook a little and then make him fight an open weight bout with Cain

It was justified. You have to stop when the ref tells you to, it's as simple as that. The fact that he did it again and denies any wrong doing is ridiculous. Was he in another state of mind? That ref was prying on Palhares and fell over trying to get him off.
Even a guy like Frank Mir will stop whet he ref tells him to, but he aims to break his opponents limb.

I agree but Im sure one of the two will sign him , he was a top UFC fighter . I doubt he wins a belt though ,Burkman and Lima would both knock him out before he could get the hook .

******** decision once again from the UFC, it's a ******* brutal sport and I could post literally 1000 gifs or pics where people punch an opponent that is already out of it. Same **** different toilet.
Though no one ever gets banned for this.
Heck it happend on the same card, Dong jumped on Silva with a hammerfist though Silva was done completely!!!
I don't want to make excuses for Palhares behavior, it was clearly ****** and he has done it before but get a ******* grip! Banned for life from the UFC??? That's laughable, hypocritical and absurd...
Harris held the sub for one ******* second after the tap....just one second!!!

I'm not condoning what Rampage did in that fight, but there's a big difference between punching a guy an extra time or two and wrenching on something as devastating as a knee bar while the ref attempts to pull you off. Also, in the Dong and Silva fight the ref hadn't waived off the fight when Dong followed up with the hammerfist. You can try to slice it as many ways as you want, but Rousimar has a history of doing this, and knee injuries ruin careers.

If he broke pierce's knee then what? Dana is setting a zero tolerence on holding subs and that could of been a disaster for mike's career last night.
