Prediction: wrong Pierce   wrong Decision  

Seems like a bit of a weird fight for Pierce considering he is on a four fight win streak while Palhares has lost his last two in a row granted Palhares has been fighting higher ranked opponents. If Pierce can stay off the ground and possibly keep the fight standing to avoid the Leg Locks of Palhares he should be in good shape I think. Palhares needs to get away from his one trick pony finishing style or he could find himself on the chopping block if he loses this one.

I want Paul Harris to win so bad, this is just an awful match up for him. I really hope I'm wrong and he turns out to be a beast at WW. I may change this after the weigh ins.

Prediction: wrong Pierce   wrong Decision  

Pierce has had  few complaints about being matched up against "desperate cheats" (his words not mine) like Palhares. He wants a top 10 opponent after Palhares. Pierce is one of those guys who's good, but against the top guys falls a little short. Although I do believe he should've got the win against Koscheck. I think he takes the win in a gritty decision.

I think Pierce wins this one. He is very underrated and deserves some better competition after this win.

The UFC has claimed fighters had more wins than actually have on several occasions. I think sometimes they add fighters exhibition fights to their records to build them up. I know they also don't always do an in depth search to find out their true records and have just taken some fighters word for it. When Corey Hill was on The Ultimate Fighter he admitted to lying about his record to get onto the show claiming he was 4-0 as a pro when he had actually never had a pro fight.

Melvin has 46 fights alot of them before he got signed to the UFC were  in Louisiana.  and Rashad was 7-0 before getting signed by the UFC where he's had 17 fights. another example was Matt Hughes was 29-3 when he fought Carlos Newton for the first time in 2001.
