This is another tough division to rank, with so many potential contenders right now.  I have Maynard #1 by a hair due to his earlier win over Edgar and fighting to a draw in the rematch.  Melendez has a strong argument for the top spot too, but I have him at 3 for now.  The 3 of them are really close.

I think Miller is solidly in 4th place, but after that the rest of the top 10 is pretty wide open for interpretation.  What do you think?

I think we are at a point in time Where essentially the UFC champ is the #1 in every division. As for Edgar if beating BJ Penn not once but twice is enough to convince you of his #1 status very little else will. You can site his fight with Maynard aside from getting clipped hard in the first he won that fight, he won 4 of the 5 rounds on my scorecard. I think Maynard is the obvious strong #2. After the top 3 it gets very muddled and very tight.

How can you have Miller at #4? He has potential but hasn't been fighting anyone of note. Look at his last five fights,Kamal Shalorus,Charles Oliveira,Gleison Tibau, Mark Boeck(Which i hear was a bad desicion) ,Duane Ludwig  Not the kind of guys that a top five ranked guy should be fighting.

@beastmaster, no offense man, but you say Miller hasn't beat anyone to deserve the number 4 spot, but you have Alvarez there? (Also don't comment on my rankings, I haven't updated them in a while...I will get to that soon)

I never said he hasn't beaten anyone. Just not the level of competition that a number five guy should be fighting. I have Definetly not going to put Aoki or Guida at the #4 spot

Yeah, but what I'm trying to say, is that you don't have Miller at 4 based on the fact that he hasn't beaten anyone to earn that spot, but you have Alvarez ranked there. Alvarez' last wins were Pat Curran, Roger Huerta, Josh Neer and Toby Imada. Miller's wins over Shalorus and Oliveira alone are far more impressive than all those guys. Add in Gleison Tibau, Bocek, and the fact that his only losses are to the number one and number two guys, I think he deserves that spot over Alvarez. That's just me, I was just wondering why you have Alvarez where you have him, but Miller so low.

The main reason he's at #4 is because i think he can hang in there with edgar or Melendaz better than aoki or Guida. The fact that he lost to Edgar and Maynard makes everybody think he has to be right below them.

In my opinion, he's only lost to those two guys, and he's dominated everyone else (outside of Bocek, but he did deserve the win). Alvarez lost to Aoki (sub) and Joachim Hansen (tko), and hasn't faced any top competition since then.
I guess we won't know for sure until they actually start fighting top 10 guys, and Miller's upcoming fight with Ben Henderson is a good start.

I cannot justify Miller getting the #4 spot. He has no top 10 wins and I think he loses to all the people I have listed above him. My list is based off my opinion of who would beat who and somewhat recent performances.

Miller is getting overhyped the same as G-Sot imo, I won't buy into it. Their win streaks are built off mediocre fighters. We'll see how he does against Bendo.

Danno, I completely disagree about Jim Miller being overhyped. He beaten impressively numerous skilled fighters many of which were not great match ups for him. He also took the current champion and number one contender to extremely close contenders.

Cerrone would lose to Jim Miller more often then not. He lose the first round hard, then lose the second round and likely come back in the third to late. Cerrone has the potential to beat anyone in the light weight division, but he has not shown the consistency or faced the level of skill that is Jim Miller.

I've got Miller at 4 too, he's only been beaten by Edgar and Maynard and I can't see anyone below who could take him.
