I don't consider MMA Nuts (as fun as they are) a reliable source, but since this isn't an actual fight report just a "I wanna fight this guy" thing I thought I'd post is anyway to invoke the discussion.

Khabib Nurmagomedov Wants To Fight BJ Penn Or TJ Grant

Basically, I'd watch the **** out of both those fights, but I hope for BJ's sake that if he does decide to make one last run at 155 this isn't the fight he starts with ...

BJ/Gomi would be awesome!!
So would Khabib/Grant :)

The only reason I would want him to fight Penn is just to see BJ back at 155. Otherwise, the better fight is with Grant, but I don't think he'll get it.

Grant would be a huge step for Khabib, and I think it's a winnable fight for both.
It would be very interesting to see, but I doubt it happens.

seems Khabib just wants a fight asap give him Ross Pearson or Edson Barboza.. Khabib will get his shot real soon at top contenders but it doesnt look like ufc are in a rush to propel him into title contention

sure, now that is past his prime and semi retired everybody wants to call BJ Penn out, but nobody did 5 years ago, I like Khabib but he would´ve gotten his ass kicked by BJ 5 years ago, besides Penn is a huge name to fight someone like Khabib right now.

I think for now Lauzon or Healyare good matches for him  and if he wins Cerone would be a good step up

Not really Grant is a absolute monster who just KTFO'd Gray Maynard and Prime B.J is a force of nature.  I agree with @legacyofmisfortune that guys like Joe Lauzon or Pat Healy are good compelling match-ups and make sense ranking wise.  But the UFC matchmaking can get pretty weird so it's not totally ridicolous seeing him fight Grant considering T.J's comment on how he doesn't have an assured title shot once he comes back from his injury.
