Probably a dumbass question, but does anyone here know how one gets to be a "heavy favorite" while his opponent is a "moderate underdog"?

Since they're both fighting each other and draws/NC's are low percentage, logically every added % one has of winning comes directly off the odds of the other losing (unless statistically Mitchell has more of a chance of forcing a draw than Pierce does or something of the sort).

Disclaimer: I'm not a statistics genius and know jack **** about all that is gambling, just trying to wrap my head around this ...

That's how Vegas makes money Yoss. If you notice the favorite's negative number is always higher than the dog's postitive. Tapology probably has a certain number, on both sides, as the difference between heavy and moderate and this fight's odds just happen to straddle that number.

When Pierce fights a top guy again, he'll deserve a main card slot or PPV spot.
