Phil and Gus on answering the question whether they'd fight if Gus took the belt:
Gus: "We're both professionals, we both want to be #1, if we have to fight, let's do it"
Davis: "It'll be fair, it'll be fun and either way the belt comes back to the same gym"
I've never criticized training partners for not fighting each other since I've never been in their shoes, I've never had to crush the dreams and face of someone who's my "brother in arms", but hearing these two talk about it, and they're REAL friends, they clicked immediately after Phil beat Gus, have been going toe-to-toe almost every day for a long time and hang out after practice too, just makes me happy that a bit of professionalism and perspective is starting to creep in to the sport.

I'm from Boston, but I've been living in Toronto for the past 5 months. I'm walking to the Air Canada Centre from my apartment with my girlfriend. Interesting that the first UFC event I'm going to live is in another country.
I actually think Barao/Wineland could be a great fight. And I think Wineland has more of an upset shot here than Gus, which goes against the majority of pickers.

I predict Jones will take him down and win by savage ground and pound in the second.
And after that, the contenders are few. Glover Teixeira and Dan Cormier. After that, he will have cleaned out the LHW division. Who would care to see a rematch with Evans or Machida?
I think Jones will move up to HW by summer of 2014.
