CSAS first to take stance on TRT.

California State Athletic Commission meeting in Los Angeles on Monday banned the use for testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and any the****utic use exemptions (TUE) for testosterone. The substance will now be considered a banned substance in the state of California and the likes of Vitor Belfort Dan Henderson, Chael Sonnen, and Frank Mir will not be able to compete in the state for the time being. At the current moment there are no UFC bouts to take place until at least September.

It makes sense. It's been loophole that has been exploited as far as I'm concerned. You play with the cards you've been dealt. If you have low testosterone (be it natural or through your own abuse in early life) then tough. That's just the way it is.
It's no different to being disadvantaged in reach, questionable jaw, lung capacity etc.

Finally.  Been hoping to read about this for some time now.  Really hope that other states will take note.  Synthetic testosterone has no place in sports.  Especially combat sports.

Hope they can also loosen up on the marijuana regulation to a point where fighters aren't being punished for smoking a joint two weeks before a fight.
