Hector Lombard and Patrick Cote set to coach TUF: Canada Vs Australia

Based on SFL, we need TUF India vs Egypt.

Canada vs USA adds a nice twist to a healthy rivalry. 

I am glad theyre finally doing a USA vs Canada season, with that being said, Lombard/Cote is a very intriguing matchup stylistically, definetly not the 2 most charismatic guys you could put on T.V, but in the end I think its gonna be a good fight, when both guys are on, theyre on, and im hopin that happens, should be fun to watch.

@nogfan, it would be absolutely awful if they had Flyweights. I can't think of a single Canadian Flyweight that's UFC ready or even close. I don't know about Australia but our strongest divisions that I would like to see are Lightweight and Featherweight. Also I don't like the idea of making up a rivalry that doesn't exist. I mean there might still be some bad blood over that womens basketball game from London 2012, but I would have rather them do an all Canadian show, maybe East Coast vs. West Coast.

BTW to that other guy, you can't be racist against Canadians, we're not a race.

@mike187 get top 135 bantamweight prospects to cut some  more weight someone like Josh Hill, or nick mamalis if they can,  also see if yusup sadaaulaev could m ake the cut even if these guys aren't canadian.

They've been saying there's going to be a TUF Canada for a while now, then we find out half the cast won't even be Canadian (which really pisses me off) and now you want them to use even more non Canadian fighters? They might as well not even have Canada in it if they're going to do that.

And the guys you suggested aren't even remotely Canadian. Nick Mamalis has had a couple fights here and who knows if Yusup Saadulaev has even stepped foot in Canada.

The way Cote has fought in his last 3 bouts... he will have nothing for Lombard. Against Cung Le, I was begging him to DO something. Sakara, who is being held together with duct tape and superglue had him hurt early on before playing the bongos on the back of his head, the Voelker fight could have gone the other way as I saw it 29-28 for Voelker. I'm tired of being a fan of the guy honestly.

Will this be at WW or MW? The weight cut if at WW may affect Lombard's explosiveness and power, and may give an edge to Cote, who is known to have a solid chin. If at MW, I think it's an easy fight for the Cuban/Australian.

Has Lombard ever fought below 185? I know he's had some catchweights over 185 and some LHW bouts as well which is ballsy for someone his size.

I was reading somewhere that said Lombard could make his debut at WW against Nate Marquardt and if that happens Noke is the replacement. No idea if that's true. But I do know Lombard said on UFC Tonight he wanted to fight Marquardt.

Glad TUF is expanding to other countries. MMA is getting bigger every year. 

MMA Junkie is saying it's going to be Patrick Cote and Kyle Noke. Not Lombard.
