Prediction: Henderson  |  Decision

Gonna stick with my local talent here. If Henderson can survive the barrage of the first round I think he can win, I just feel his cardio for five rounds and his diverse well rounded style will allow him to get the win here.

Prediction: Grant  |  KO/TKO  |  Round 1

Find it odd they didn't bring this one to Toronto. That likely means we get Hendricks/GSP which is kind of a bummer, because I wanna see GSP fight outside Canada.

If anyone can finish Benson, it's TJ Grant. He has the power to put him away and good enough grappling to avoid any submissions or smothering attempted by Bendo. If Henderson wins it will be by another razor thin decision.

I really like Grant's chances here. Initially, I wanted to go with Benson, but **** it. Grant has shown me that he is up to the challenge.

Why is he a smug bastard? I dont get the Benson hate to be honest, do people really hate him, or do they hate the judges of his fights?

he got dropped by Edgar and his hands aren't the best but his kicks are good.  Plus Grant is a freaky good finisher and  has  a pretty good ground game.   Also he's got good cardio and he's pretty big for lightweight probably walks around 185, which means Bendo won't have the size advantage

I think he gets a lot of crap because he's a really religious guy. Seems like he's normally pretty cool towards his opponents. I've liked him since the WEC, i don't think he deserves all the hate either.

It's not the religion. I actually hate when atheists get all angry over some one praising god. It's just his persona, I can't stand him and the **** that lisps through his mouth

Benson graduated the same year I did, about a half hour South of here, and I know people who went to high school with him.  It's not an act like Jon Jones tried, he's through and through the way he is since he was a kid, no alcohol, no parties, etc.  I'm not religious but I can see how he comes off as `holier than thou`.  I don't think the guy has skeletons in his closet which is probably why he rubs some the wrong way.  He comes off as a better human being than me because goddammit he probably is.

Prediction: Henderson  |  Decision

Well as a Maynard fan I was shocked at the way Grant decimated him, however I think there was a number of factors there, clearly Grant has good hands that much is damn clear, I believe Maynard underestimated him and was looking past him. Certainly not taking away what Grant did, just pointing this out as I seen an interview after the Maynard fight where Benson was saying he didn't really know who Grant is and was already training for Maynard, so I'm wondering if Henderson is gonna make the same mistake as Maynard could be a fun upset for sure. That being said after the performance against Melendez I think Bendo is gonna come in and push the pace, pressuring Grant with takedowns and ground and pound similar to the Diaz fight, I personally haven't seen much of Grant to know much about his takedown defence or his ground game/grappling skills (if anyone knows anything about that aspect of his game, feel free to share would be much appreciated). I'm taking Benson by decision and I think it will be similar to the Diaz fight in that it won't be a close decision this time. That's just my opinion, take care hombres, peace out :)

People just WANT a reason to hate somebody it seems. Ben is a cool guy, and everybody knows it. Then you hear the "i dont know why i hate him, but its just something about him that i hate". I never understood that lol the "i dont know why i hate him, but i do" card lol
