EA Sports UFC thread.

I know there are obviously a ton of people on here that are excited for this game, and with some big gaming 'dates' coming within the next few months, we will probably be hearing some legit news about this game soon. I will update this thread as regularly as possible, if you guys find some cool stuff about it, post away! I know there is a video game thread but I don't wanna totally flood that thread with just stuff about the UFC game, so I will just make a thread dedicated to it.

 

Also, EA just launched an official website for the game recently .. today. So that must mean something is coming soon.

I heard that they would be alternating between UFC and Fight Night games. I hope they do keep making FN, I always liked those a lot more than mma games.

I'm pretty sure they're committing all their time to UFC for atleast 2 or 3 iterations, then going back to possibly doing Fight Night games. I wish they were alternating. I love the Fight Night games. Plus, now there is TONS of new fighters to add.

I played this demo the other day at a friends house. Once you get the controls down, its a pretty fun game, the still, comatose KOs are nice.....and yea, no spamming in this one. Flash KOs happen very often when somebody is spamming buttons, and runs out of energy lol

Cool Mike, that sounds awesome. Glad they're coming through with more fighters and for free...I'd expect like 3-5 fighter packs on updates. Hopefully they maybe have at least TJ by launch week or so.

Put about 3 hours in with the full game today. So, so, soooo disappointed. The movesets are bad. Everyone feels the same. This game has a large variety of strikes, but that means nothing when virtually everyone can do the same thing, and aside from a few people, literally EVERYONE can do the same things. The A.I is still ****, regardless of difficulty. If you fight against Maia, Lawler, Rousey, Royce, and Lee, you will notice all of them approach the fight the exact same way. I did Kaufman/Rousey, and Rousey didn't even attempt a clinch on me until the middle of R3. I did Lawler/Maia, and Maia came out SWINGING right at the bell and did not stop until he had me rocked. The AI seriously feels like they are being controlled by a button masher who has no idea what they're doing. Oh, and the power takedowns? Still awful. It feels so ******** seeing Anderson Silva ******* angle slam Chris Weidman. 

The game wasn't made for us. We wanted an MMA game. This isn't that. It's a fighting game with a useless ground game targeted at the casual fans. Seriously, the ground game is useless. There is no need to ever use it. Every fighter in the game has good standup. 

And that 'full body deformation system'? Non existent. It is a step down from Fight Night Champion, and I mean that. This game should not be next-gen exclusive. EA lost some big money by not making this on the PS3/360, because I guarantee they could have done it. Overall, I am disappointed. I won't get truly excited about an EA fighting game until it's another Fight Night, because they execute that properly. But.. I will still pick up my pre-order on Tues. and likely put alot of time in it.. Why? Becuase I'm a ******* idiot and traded in 3 games to pre-order this ************. 

Oh and; you know how all the Fight Night games, Undisputed games, and EA MMA had tons of CAF slots? Yeah, well, there's 10 here. Hopefully they patch that or something.. because otherwise, Lol.

damn, thats sad hearing that, i will still get it and base my ass off, but from the demo, i already knew it wasnt gonna be what i wanted it to be...

Some of the weird things I remember seeing were Nick Diaz throwing a tornado kick, Cub Swanson throwing a cartwheel kick. Lots of silly things. Also, just about everyone in the game can do strikes off the cage.. Atleast everyone I used.

Nick Diaz has done tornado kicks and Cub Swanson has done cartwheel/weird kicks haha.

Yeah 10 CAF is ********...doesn't affect me really that much, but I could see why it sucks for guys that like creating tons of guys. Should be at the very least like 20...c'mon.

Wow, what a scathing review by Tacos, this makes me all the more curious about the game's release. How did you get your hands on the full game tho?

10 CAFS ***! EA never fail to let me down ten cafs *** is the deal with that and 100 fights . tbh I rather have   THQ grafics and 1000 fighters on xbox one . ggrr still ganne get it tho :( support mma and that

Nick Diaz throws spinning **** in this game?! That is a ******* disgrace. Only kicks Nick should be able to do are his trademark baby kicks. :D
