EA Sports UFC thread.

I know there are obviously a ton of people on here that are excited for this game, and with some big gaming 'dates' coming within the next few months, we will probably be hearing some legit news about this game soon. I will update this thread as regularly as possible, if you guys find some cool stuff about it, post away! I know there is a video game thread but I don't wanna totally flood that thread with just stuff about the UFC game, so I will just make a thread dedicated to it.

 

Also, EA just launched an official website for the game recently .. today. So that must mean something is coming soon.

That spinning wheel kick is crazy.  

In my first game, it took me over 20 sub tries to make Gus tap out. Third game took me one sub attempt to make Jones tap out to my gogoplata.

ino when I landed it I was like omfg but it only allows you to fight on easy :( I keep knocking them out in 20 secsif I fight like I was online . seems like a pretty good demo ive not got any subs yet but in all fairness I don't try  lve stand up .
cant wait to get it might go pre order it tomorrow :S

Agreed with CthulhuJones, I was THIS close to buying the XBOX ONE.

The knockout in my vid was pretty ****** sick haha, I think this is a game where you'll kinda be like meh at the start but the more you play it and get used to it the better itll get.

Though I don't think this game is at all a system seller (if you were planning n buying a new system for this game.. don't) I think it's definitely worth buying for those that already own one. It is really fun, and button mashing is not an issue. Your stamina drains pretty quick when you're fighting like an idiot, and the new parry system is pretty easy to get good at, so if people are spamming the same punches you can murder them. I still have some worries about the full version, but I'm happy I pre-ordered. 

i didn't like it at the start but the demo is demo is growing on me . not done much of the ground game but left stick gets u up easy . once again the demo is easy as hell and set on easy the lowest mode . i wouldn't let this put you off it feels like the old ufc games but a lot better running .

@Cthulhu You actually can't spam much haha...or you'll gas and get finished. So idk how many vids you've watched, but I've played it plenty the last 2 days.


Anyway, here's a match I did earlier today where I just completely outclassed and owned Jones...now that i'm getting the controls and system better. And that I know how to actually SWAY now .

Anik and Cthulhu, you guys are talkiing about buying a console for this 1 single game...then what were you expecting? a straight up 10 and perfect game?....besides the fact that this is very good next-gen MMA game that might not be a 10 or perfect...there are plenty of exclusives and other awesome games for both new gen consoles anyway. 

UFC was definitely a big part of me getting a next-gen before this game comes out...but if you're planning on spending 400+ dollars on a console for 1 game, you shouldn't do it anyway haha.

And to keep it 3HUNNA, i wasn't overly impressed by the videos i saw previously before the demo...but actually playing and feeling the game is way, way different. It's 10x better looking and better feeling in general than any last-gen UFC/Sports game...the gameplay and control feels very next-gen, so if you haven't experienced it it isn't the same i guess.

The demo is pretty sick, just downloaded it this morning.

Havent spent much time on it but everything seems improved, especially the graphics. Gameplay vids dont do it justice, you have to see it on your system.

this my final video until the game is out pretty much a highlight of knockouts and gameplay ive got in the past few days .

@Swickotine I was expecting something more realistic. If it was like Fight Night Champion or NBA 2K13 in terms of expansiveness and realism, I would have bought the console for it.

@Anik The Fight Night Champion team stopped the Fight Nights right now to work on this game, so I mean that's why the striking is so good and the engine is similar. EA MMA engine striking was the base for FN Champion...


Although, I think it's also why it hinders some MMA aspects though - with no GNP'ing after KO's and not having much ref involvement on finishes or subs. The ground striking too, which is a weak point of the engine IMO..because the stand-up and subs are amazing. 



IDK it's kinda like a 85% MMA/15% Boxing game...hopefully the next game will make those small, but important updates to those few areas of MMA.
