Has anybody ever heard the term "oplata" regarding the BJJ subs (Omoplata, Gogoplata, Monoplata). Some dumbass who said Frank Mir is the best BJJ fighter in MMA history called me ignorant for not knowing all of the "oplatas". I've trained BJJ for 5 years, and I've never heard this term. ********? or am I just stupid?

I'm familiar with all of them except Monoplata.

I'm not talking about all of the submissions, I knew those, I mean the actual term "oplata". Has anyone ever heard somebody say "oplata"? Like ***

I've done BJJ about half as long as you have, but i've never heard it either. Pretty sure it's ********. I'd ask my instructor, but i'm pretty sure i'm better off asking him what rubber guard is.

Yeah I've never heard anyone just use the last part of the word.

He just sounds like he's trying to sound like he knows what he's talking about.
