Fight Matrix has him ranked #12 LHW outside of the UFC #33 overall . they would be stupid to cut him after 1 loss to a top 10 in the world . Hell be a good pickup . after he loses give him a better fight for his talent level .

I don't know if it's glued shut or what the deal is. It's in a really bad spot though. I can see how that would be a fight ender if it got opened up again. Blood would be pouring down directly into his eye.

Very true. As much as it sucks the fight was cancelled it would have sucked even worse to see it get stopped because of that cut right off.

I posted that in the "medical" thread.  I read that it only took 3 stitched to close that cut... does that make sense to anyone?  That cut looks like more than a 3 stitcher right?

My bad didn't see your post, and yeah that thing's pretty long. Considering Lauzon took like 40 stitches to the face after his fight with Jim Miller you'd think that would have taken more than 3.

The fact that it looks 100% healed now is weird to me. UFC fighters heal like Wolverine. Those pictures of JDS after the Cain fight were horrible, then literally like 2 days later he was pretty much back to normal.

I attribute that to good doctors and expensive medicine more than their ability to heal. Also, the fact that they take great care of their bodies has to come into play when you are talking about recovery time.

@Kalibo i've had a way bigger cut from a hernia surgery that was 7 stitches.
i even asked the doctor and he said the amount of stitches doesn't really make a difference, that they sometimes can use less depending on the particular cut.

i guess the scar tissue could get worse if you use too many, so they probably do as little as possible to prevent that. but that is just my hunch.
