Going 6-0 in less than 1 year, all wins by first round finishes is impressive. But Chris Barnett is WAY better than anybody Rama ever fought.

Tough call...

Barnett is at the Blackzillains camp. The camp I believe to be the worst right now.

Not only is Barnett a Blackzillian, but Rama is fairly good .. so long  the fight doesn't leave R1.

pretty sure Rama will starch this guy.  THere are some things I would like to see Smea fix, but I just don't see Barnett having much of anything for him.

Wake, I dont think Barnett is really better than Hackert at all.  He may be better than the current version of Lee Mein, but I think at a point in Lee's career he was years ahead of Barnett.

Barnett is hard to hit and he has good chin even if you hit him, pretty fast for the guy his statue, wrestling background is a plus, taekwondo black belt, don't know if it a good thing, he doesn't seems to have any success with his taekwondo so far, but he does have decent leg kicks. He didn't fight for two years officially, but he did fight unsanctioned fights, at least one of them was in 2012, so he is not as rusty as many people think. Assuming he is way, way better than his last fight and training with very good sparing partners and good coaches my prediction first round TKO Rama. Rama has wrestling and judo background, his BJJ is top notch and his striking on a different level. Barnett has no chance.

What a dasterdly move by Barnett's management.  This is not a new injury, but something Barnett has been aware of and just waited until the last minute to inform anyone of and he actually had no intention of telling anyone. Pavelich is pissed, Smea is pissed and Vlad (Smea's boxing coach) is just in shock.  This is absolutely ridiculous and extremely unprofessional.

"It's an absolute shame that it came down to this, and it didn't have to go down this way for Rama at all.  Had Barnett's manager, Mickey Duberly, been more professional and more on top of things, we would have been notified at least two weeks ago that there was an with the medicals. Instead we find out one day before he leaves," Mark Pavelich

Wake he is young still, but I do think that he could definitely hold his own between 9-15 right now.  I would not put him in the upper echelon of the UFC HWT division yet.  My biggest concern with Smea the last few fights was his conditioning and from what I have seen lately he has taken that to task.  He will be in the UFC by this time next year barring some weirdness happening.

I will tell you this Chris Barnett should be righting thank you cards to the doctors that did not clear him because he was walking into something he wanted no part of; an in shape Smea with a lot to prove.

I have interviewed Smea 4-5 times now and each time I learn something new about him, his training and his work ethic.  I talk to his boxing coach frequently and he tells me that Smea has really turned the corner mentally.

He's only 21, that's scary! I'm sure he's training hard and he's constantly improving. Can't wait to see him against a tough HW
