It's one thing cutting Volkmann for losing 2 out of 3, but Fitch is still a top ten fighter. Sure, he's put on some snoozers, but he's only 1 fight removed from what I thought was one of the more impressive and exciting fights of his career against Erik Silva.
I guess they never let go of the bad blood from the argument over likeness rights a few years back.

The only other cut that I don't like is Jay Hieron. I'm pretty biased here because I'm a big Hieron fan but considering he was singed to step in and fight Ellenberger on short notice (even though the fight was moved to a later date) and showed that he can hang with one of the top WW's and then got caught by T wood. So he lost to two probably top 15 guys. I think that's an early cut. I think there are quite a few WW's in the UFC he could beat.
