It's not really justified in terms of his ability or his record in the UFC. But he ain't the most exciting guy to watch and that's probably why he got cut. His top control is dominant, but he only finished one fight.

It's not as though his fans are going to be upset because he doesn't have any.

His ******** comment about Obama probably didn't help.

Not a huge fan, but this cut doesn't seem justified to me. He's not the most exciting, but I thought he was actually improving and becoming a more exciting fighter. Although he lost 2 of his last 3, they were all finishes that came after a solid 5-0 run, albeit some lackluster decisions.

Must've been a combination of his lackluster wins and comments about Obama. Ah well.

Guy was a ******. I don't like seeing anyone lose their job ever but I was happy when he lost to Green. I won't miss him.

Personal drama needs to stop affecting the UFC's decisions.If the UFC likes you...You stay.If they dislike you,Be careful.One mistake and you're gone.

At least Jacob has a good career to fall back on.

He will always be my favorite fighter/chiropractor.

If they dont like what he had to say at times, they should have stopped putting a mic in his face. The man is 6-2 since he dropped down to LW. Him getting cut and keeping fighters with 2-4 loses in a row is silly. Regardless of how boring his fights are, he gets wins.

Well the didn't really made a fair judgement. But maybe it's the same reason they don't want Ben Askren in the UFC also.

If I were Volkmann, I would move back to 170 and go to Bellator. I would much rather fight Askren than Chandler.

Askren/Volkmann might be a pretty fu fight, but I would give the edge to Askren.

I kind of doubt we see Volkmann anywhere other than the local Minnesota mma scene, he has a chiropractic clinic, he probably doesn't need the stress of training camp if it isn't for a big stage.

Christmas Got Cancelled!

I don't wish him ill and hope he finds employment, but I am decidedly happy not to have to see him "fight" any more!

This is not the first organization where the boss didn't like someone personally and fired them when they had the legal opportunity because that employee made it clear that they didn't care if their boss liked them. This is a business, its not just fighting. If you had money would you give it to everyone you didn't like?

@Benjamin I agree with you, a fight with Askren would be fun. Well it would be a 25 min wrestling match rather than a fight but still very interesting.
