Just put Lamas vs Jung together for No.1 contender.

Since Zombie last had a fight Lamas has beaten Hioki and Koch. Lamas is the current #1 contender

It would be awesome, big fan of both guys tho, so I'd prefer Pettis at 155 and Aldo at 145 and than maybe a REAL Superfight eventually...

@Soccerkick-I agree, he said that someone wouldn't like that fight. Jung wouldn't like that fight either. I'm going with what he said.

Id rather see Aldo move up to LW and fight pettis for #1 contender so we can see Aldo vs Bendo as well as pettis. Plus after this win I dont think theres anyone in FW that wil beat Aldo. so him moving up will make that division interesting again.

Pettis? The guy that's been crying for his rematch with Bendo? Now that he has the shot he wants to go down a weight class and fight a guy he NOW thinks he can beat. Not exactly the warrior spirit from a guy I thought was a clear cut warrior. I am getting mixed messages from you, Pettis, please clarify your stance so I should know if I should continue to be a fan, which has been based 100% on your performances thus far. If you just want the fight you think would be easiest, I will be basing my opinion on more than your fights and it will not be in your favor.

@Judo to be fair, Pettis already beat Bendo and Jose ******* Aldo is not an easy fight...for anybody.

Pettis is probably just suggesting that since he has to wait for the outcome of Melendez vs Bendo, and he doesn't want to wait around...

Personally I like pettis where he is at. Aldo has been out for a long time and needs to fight some guys that earn there title shots at 145 not 155.

@Ch40z

I disagree with you. Look at the best guys he fought. Which are Edgar and Kenny both of which were light weight. Even look at the current contenders, Sever is toping that list and he was a LW as well. So i really don't see any issue with Pettis getting the shot. He beat pretty much any contender at 145, so I dont see why he can't just be granted the title shot.

it should be Lamas or KZ getting the title shot. Pettis has done nothing at FW to deserve a title shot, and Edgar only got it because Koch got injured, and Aldo vs Edgar is a fight people have been wanting for years. People have NOT been calling for Aldo vs Pettis.

I think regardless of name, Lightweights should earn a Featherweight title shot. I think it is just an insult to the Featherwight title, almost as if it a second option. As I mentioned, I don't like when the FW title is seen as a fat chick who is asked out because someone couldn't get a sexy chick(the Lightweight title).
