I just want to see more chokes out of Volkmann

I can't remember a time I wanted to see someone get KO'd more then Volkmann in this fight. I know the reality is he's gonna turn into Bobby Green's blanket for 3 rounds.

Green doesnt have the wrestling to win this fight. Christmas taps him in the 1st via neck crank

Green is a tough dude but Volkmann should dry hump him for three rounds.

Volkmann annoys the **** out of me to no end.  Unfortunately he's gonna play the Volkmann-snuggie and keep Green warm through winter.

You know what to expect with Volkmann every single time. He's a picker's best friend ! Green is going to get taken down and smothered for many minutes. Volkmann can very well pull off the submission but a decision is more likely. Bobby is still a decent prospect and I hope he does well in the UFC after this fight. I will be picking Volkmann but I might switch to submission after weigh-ins.

Green has been much better. But he's fighting the human blanket...

Jacob Volkmann (15-3, 6-3 UFC) vs. Bobby Green (19-5, 0-0 UFC): 

- Volkmann is six years older; 1” inch shorter and shares the same reach as Green.

+ Volkmann went to the University of Minnesota, where he was a Big Ten Conference wrestling champion and a three time NCAA DI All American.

+ Volkman has 15 wins in his 18 professional fights, with 7 submissions and 8 decision victories.

+ Volkman bounced back strong from his first loss at 155 with his fight against Shane Roller, he was dominate with wrestling, and got the RNC for his first submission in the octagon.

- Green is a blue belt in BJJ.

- Green was on the wrong end of a bad decision against JZ, and is currently riding a four-fight win streak after that loss.

+ Similar strikes per minute, but Volkmann has better accuracy.

+ Volkmann averages three takedowns per fight (one per round! Haha) and lands about half of his attempts. Green currently has a 100% takedown defence rate, that is a major reflag, but I think that Volkmann has proven to be an elite wrestler in the division for sure, so this will be a new level for Green.

+ Green’s fight with Dan Lauzon was a disaster, Green was docked two points and Sherdog called it “one of the dirtiest fights in recent memory”, that was back in 2009, but with Volkmann aka The Blanket usually going to decision, any loss of points could be the difference here.

+ Volkmann is 5-1 in his last six, with victories over Paul Kelly, Antonio McKee, Danny Castillo, Efrain Escudero, and Shane Roller with his only loss coming to submission expert Paul Sass with a triangle choke.

Green showed good striking and wrestling in Strikeforce, but I think he is going to really struggle off his back and that is exactly where Volkmann is going to put him. Volkmann is definitely slow and extremely predictable in his game plan, but he has been able to implement it against some difficult fighters in the octagon. I think that he could run into trouble if he looses his mind and goes for a knockout, but expect classic Christmas here, submission in the 2nd or 3rd, or more likely a decision.

Volkmann 4 President? Sorry, but Bob Backlund beat you to that gimmick by 20 years. Whatever, I still say that you win.

Volkmann will use his vast octagon experience to submit green in this fight, but Green will give him all he can handle in the early stages of this fight, only to get taken down and choked out in the 3rd.
Then Volkmann will once again blurt out another self damaging one liner attacking Obama for god knows what.

I really think Green is a live dog here. I've watched some of his older fights... he doesn't do bad against wrestlers. He beat JP Reese who is a better wrestler than Volkmann.

green looked good at weigh ins. i'm gonna changed to KO for green over volkman
