I don't understand this. He beats a top 5 middleweight and then calls out  either Stann or Wand both of who are outside of the top 10. Doesn't make much sense but I'd love to see him fight either guy.

I don't think Tim was a top5 MW... I do have Stann in my top10 I believe.

Interesting but people would watch Wanderlei fight regardless of who  he is fighting. It would be good for Costa to take that fight but would really hurt him if he lost.

I don't think Costa is ready for a high caliber fighter like Weidman/Bisping/Belfort, but I wouldn't give him Stann/Silva either. Maybe Yushin Okami?

Okami would out wrestle Costa every day, all day.

I think the winner of Silva and Stann would be cool.

I'd like to see Costa and Lombard slug it out.

Costa is a smart guy, he isnt ahead of himself. he knows he isn't elite yet.

Costa is a smart guy. I think the big reason he did this was to ensure that he fights someone who will stand and trade with him. Kalibo you could argue Tim wasn't top 5 but he was ahead of Stann or Silva. I guess I find it a little odd that he wouldn't have called out a guy who is ranked higher then Stann/Wand. Lombard?

Boetsch was ranked as high as he was due to luck and Phillipou's win over him was incredibly underwhelming and could have been a NC really.

Sorry, but Costa is fighting at UFC 159 in New Jersey. It is a lock and no way is Silva/Stann winner fighting that fast.

Silva isn't fighting at MW anymore which is why the fight is at 205.

Guess he doesn't want to make the cut anymore. I guess that's fair. He is getting old.

There we go, Costa knows he isn't ready for the top guys yet so he is moving slow. Take notes Weidman you ****.
