Liz doesn't have a single credible win on her record, only possitive thing to be said for her is that she went the distance with Kaufman, someone who couldn't last 60 seconds with Rousey. She has been allowed to pad her record because she was a marine, which is marketable, and she is a very vocal lesbian, which could also be marketable. She is getting this shot, NOT based on her chances to be competitive in the bout, but because she stepped up (even with a loss this fight still helps her career/name brand), and because the UFC is pretty sure Ronda is gonna walk through someone with a 7-2 record. Liz has never defeated anyone that has a winning record, she doesn't deserve this shot any more than Sonnen deserved to fight Silva, or Jones, but I bet no one will complain about that.
Liz won't last 120 seconds.

She lost to Coenan in the 4th round after dominating the whole time. People's records don't always tell the full story.

This is incorrect. Kaitlin Young's record was 7-5-1 when she fought Liz (and I feel that is a credible win). She also fought Jan Finney directly after Jan fought Cyborg.
Do I feel like it's the best fight for Rousey? No. I don't think any of us feel that way.... but with Cyborg not being able to make 135 yet, UFC feels it's a good match to promote Rhonda and it's a tougher fight than most people think.

Apparently her manager (Tito Ortiz) advised her not to take the fight because of her weight.
Tito had this to say: "That was never said!" he wrote. "'Cyborg' will fight her anytime, anywhere at 145. Cris said she would kill herself trying to make 135. I won't allow it, (and) neither should the UFC or Dana. Cris wants the fight, fans want the fight, and so does the UFC."
"She was then offered to Sara McMann, who declined."
That's probably for the best. McMann isn't ready for that fight.
"Then she was offered to Miesha Tate, who ALSO declined the fight."
Apparently Miesha denied that and I believe her. I'm pretty sure she wants that rematch.
