Nurmagomedov has beat everyone he's faced pretty handily, including Tibau which is no easy feat. Depending on his fight count next year, could be in the top 10 sooner than that.

Yeah it was kind of a controversy, I gave that fight to Tibau it certainly was a very close fight...

I gave it to tibau as well. But ive underestimated the russian, and im not gonna give him a chance to do it again to me. So im going with nurmawhatever

As a fan of Khabib I was shocked when he was announced the winner in the Tibau fight. My memory is **** (which is bad for a fight fan) and I have no youtube at work but I recall Khabib shooting for A LOT of takedowns and not getting a single one, and Tibau doing a lot of wall n' stalling. Fight metric has it 25 strikes landed for Khabib vs 28 for Tibau. It should have been a better fight, but **** happens.

i also had it for Tibau, but wasn't too surprised with the result. i was way more surprised with how terrible that fight was... but props to the russian to make it such a close fight. not everyone can do that to Tibau. this one should be an easier fight for him, imo.

You can add me to the group who thought Tibau won that fight. 

It was very close though, and I see Tibau as a tougher test than Tavares.  

Tavares can be very scrappy though.  It should be a great fight.

Battle of the takedowns... Looking at past fights - Tavares is going to be shooting alot. Crazy that Tibau couldn't land one takedown against Nurmagomedov. Impressive.

Tavares has been in the UFC since 2007 and never been cut. Level of competition matters. Probably boring decision due to Tavares ring rust.

Tavares' biggest win is over Sam Stout and I thought he lost that fight. Nurmagomedov should be able to stuff the takedowns of Tavares and outstrike him for a decision win,
