That's right, the Ben Askren Fan Club. When is he fighting again? It's been since April since he destroyed Lima and he needs to crush Karl Amoussou soon so he can then go on to wreck the winner of Good/Koreshkov. I demand to see more Ben Askren. I guess Bellator is saving him to headline some early SPIKE TV events.

I believe Bellator is holding all of it's champions out until their Spike deal begins in 2013. That's when we'll get to see Chandler, Askren, etc back in the cage.

I don't see Askren losing either of his next two defenses though. None of them(Amoussou,Good II,Koreshkov) have the grappling pedigree to keep up with him.

The only thing Ben Askren destroys are the desires of people to watch his fights.

But @die, he did destroy Lima. He folded him in half like a ******* piece of paper. Lima is a beast and Askren dominated. 50-45 50-45 50-45... that is destruction, no? I know Askren doesn't have much power behind his GnP but he is working on his striking. It's not advisable to practice your striking against much better strikers with a title on the line, so no doubt he relies on his wrestling. I don't see Anderson Silva shooting for single legs, because his striking is so good why would he?

we wont see Askren for a year . He doenst want to be the next Alvarez so I think hes waiting out his matching period.

Pretty smart move if you ask me . Its been a year since Alvarez's last Contract fight for Bellator . If he would have waited it out he would be fighting for UFC by 2014 probably on FOX instead of Thompson. Feel so bad for that guy.

Askren vs Condit needs to happen, Make it happen Dana! I think Hendricks and Lawler would both wreck him but hes easily top 5 and his top game vs Condits bottom game is what I want to see. Plus we need another promoter fighter. We lost Sonnen, gained Connor, and CM Punk could go either way depending on if he is good enough to back up the trash he will talk. Askren will sell tons of PPVs just with his mouth.

I hope so, dude's 30, this is his time. I just don't want him to be one of those greats that got to the UFC too late and missed out on some serious legacy chapters ...

I used to despise Funky Ben, but I have to admit he's started winning me over lately. He reminds me of a fighter you make on EA UFC that you use just to troll people.

Yeah, I didn't like him either because I didn't know better ... funnily enough, him being snubbed by the UFC was what started my journey into Funky fanboyism ... I haven't been a longtime fan, but I'm on his bandwagon these days and strongly believe that in today's WW scene no one can beat him.

This man/fighter should be in the UFC. Dana just can't stand him. Dana's afraid he would beat most of the top 5.  Give this man a CHANCE. That video that cal (username) put up above me is the way he would destroy the ruthless one.
