Since it's a slow day in the world of MMA, I thought it would be cool to talk about Tapology and ourselves.. anything at all regarding the same.  I'll get a brief start going..

I live in PA, am 30 and have been a fan of MMA since I was a teenager.  Work for the railroad and rarely ever miss an event regardless of promotion/stature.  I like Tapology b/c of the environment it fosters.  I wish we could edit/delete our posts... maybe have categories of threads for the forums, but all in all, I appreciate the type of place this is thus far.

@bigj

Look, I think the repeal of the ACA is unfortunate in that many people can and will get dropped because of the *******s in the Private insurance industry.  However, it is a broken old republican formula for healthcare that was crap from the start.  Not saying that Trump will produce something better, but who knows?  Maybe he is flexible on the issue and work out something that is more in line with single payer.  All I know is, as someone who reluctantly voted Trump, I couldn't take eight more years of broken partisan politics in DC with Presidents who want it their way or the highway.  Trump seems like someone who will work with both sides of the aisle and is willing to compromise for the better of the country and the people.  I am willing to wait to see what he will ACTUALLY do in his first 100 days and not the rhetoric he used on the campaign trail.  Because Trump could double back in order to accommodate people of the Democratic base.  REMEMBER, Obama promised a lot of things in 08 like shutting down GITMO and it hasn't happened.

@BigJ383, and the ACA has lost many doctors their practice and people's premiums had gone way up. You're on the side that benefited from it, while others didn't or went with another healthcare plan that was actually affordable, like in my home state of MN, but **** them right?

    The Day After the election

    It was never Trump himself that was the problem but the rhetoric he used. By the way SJWs aren't going to stop if anything they will become more vocal and prove there is still need for change as stuff like this goes on.

    I've also already seen some Trump supporters calling him a hypocrite for some of the things he said in his acceptance speach and for him meeting with Obama and saying it was an honor to do so. In many ways Trump did manipulate the closed munded voter but he also gave them a little bit of confidence that the rhetoric was OK. It is going to take a lot to repair the damage of such an ugly campaign. I mean ugly from both sides. A 17 month election cycle is too damn long it was exausting. Hopefully this stupid hatred can stop, people need to come together and discuss actual issues rather tham hyperbolic conspiracy and fantasy laced with named calling. If you have a problem attack the issue not the person. America is a great country it has been for a long time but there is always room for improvement but that takes moving forward together as one nation that includes everyone whether they are black, white, asian, gay, straight, muslim, christian, jewish, budhist, atheist, or whatever else because no matter which sub group you fall into there is one big group we all fall into and that's Americans. Even Americans is a sub group of a larger group, Humans. We need to stopnfocusing on our differences and start focusing on our similarities.

    I was upset about Trump winning until I saw the tears of liberals everywhere and that cheered me up. Maybe they'll finally learn why limiting government power is a good thing.

    Actually it will do the opposite. It has seemed to mobolize liberals into believing they haven't done enough or become too complacent. You act like liberals don't want to limit goverment power. Liberals don't want government telling them they can't get married, can't love who they want, they don't want goverment to tell they can't terminate a pregnancy, your little flippant remark is meaningless because you don't even seem to know what you are arguing against. I like most people who are liberals want personal freedom as long as it doesn't harm anyone else. I see the goverment as a tool to be used by the people and since we pay taxes that ought to be spent on the people for things like health care which no one should have to be without. What better purpose of the government than to protect the health and safety of its people. Denying people health-care is a failure of tthe most basic duties of government.

    The problem is people have been treating politics like its a sports game team liberal vs team conservative and that simply isn't the case I'm sure most people have issues dear to them that they want paid attention to. Lumping people up like sheep into two groups slapping a label on them subverts the discussion. Most people want the same thing they want their family to be safe and healthy they want to enjoy life, they want to be happy and not be afraid to walk down the street we just have different ideas on how to achieve that.
