Since it's a slow day in the world of MMA, I thought it would be cool to talk about Tapology and ourselves.. anything at all regarding the same.  I'll get a brief start going..

I live in PA, am 30 and have been a fan of MMA since I was a teenager.  Work for the railroad and rarely ever miss an event regardless of promotion/stature.  I like Tapology b/c of the environment it fosters.  I wish we could edit/delete our posts... maybe have categories of threads for the forums, but all in all, I appreciate the type of place this is thus far.

So, what is everyone doing this fine weekend?  Big storms just came through my area (central/eastern PA).  Anyone else feel those?  There was a tornado down just west of me.  Hope everyone is enjoying the fights tonight!

I'm what they call a TUF Noob. It used to be a bad thing, but 5 years later i'm not ashamed to admit that a "reality tv show" got me into MMA. Favorite fighters are: Robbie Lawler, Spencer Fisher, and Jermey Stephens. I love it when Lil heathen thows out the 515 area code, because that's mine.

Don't **** on Sherdog too much because if it weren't them I would have never found this place, I'm sure a few others found Tapology the same way. BTW i love the site, it offers so much, and the fourms are great. But beware, as the site grows i'm sure the d-bags will find there way here.

I drug myself in... all systems are down.  Nice.  No shame at all in admitting TUF brought you to MMA.  That just means the show has served its purpose and we're all glad to have you aboard as a fan!

Anyone else have to work on Sunday?  Any other thoughts on TUF and whether you feel it has been successful as far as bringing in more fan support for MMA as a whole?

I'd say TUF has been a smashing success at recruiting new fans, but I think it's run it's course because the show just seems to have lost some of it's glimmer that it had back in the early days.

I hate to say it, but a Diaz/Diego TUF #1 contender show and fight at the end may actually bring it back.  I know I would be much more interested... Imagine the assistant coaching.. and all the antics!

I have to admit it, I'm more or less a TUF Noob as well.  I had seen a couple of the early UFC and Pride cards but for whatever reason I didn't stick with it.  TUF 3 is what brought me back.  Don't ask why that one because I don't have an answer.

My BJJ teacher is taught by Jeremy Lafreniere who is the head instuctor of Capital BJJ he got his purple belt from Royce and Rodrigo Gracie. I thought that was pretty Interesting. Mr.Lafreniere will be teaching our next class. I'll will definitely be learning so cool moves to use in my tourney.

@OldManGloom  I love Ed herman, but I can not stand Grove.  I think it is b/c of the attitude he acquired after training with Ortiz.

My favorite season was with Sanchez/Kos/Leben/Florian.. funny that they all fought at 185lbs!  Can you believe that looking back on it now?  One of the guys I liked for some reason on a diff season was Luke Cummo.  I always root for him for some reason..lol.

Yeah, he did get to be a bit of a punk ass, but that fight was still one of the best finales ever.

Just curious what some of the countries are that are represented here on Tapology.  I know we have two from Ireland, is there any other countries?  Hey Thiago... how many hours ahead of the US east coast are you?.. and any other country here... I think knowing what geographical area we're all from is cool and shows different perspectives b/c of location.
