Since it's a slow day in the world of MMA, I thought it would be cool to talk about Tapology and ourselves.. anything at all regarding the same.  I'll get a brief start going..

I live in PA, am 30 and have been a fan of MMA since I was a teenager.  Work for the railroad and rarely ever miss an event regardless of promotion/stature.  I like Tapology b/c of the environment it fosters.  I wish we could edit/delete our posts... maybe have categories of threads for the forums, but all in all, I appreciate the type of place this is thus far.

Yeah... a little more central.

If you guys could be one fighter.. who would it be?  Take in consideration the fighter and the person.

lol... I would say for me, Rich Franklin.  One of the best MW's in the history of MMA, a great sportsman and a very articulate, educated and classy person... family man.

Since Kalibo already took franklin I'd say Hendo. I always wanted to KO Bisping. Or Randy, performing at the highest level at 47 is unbelievable.

Either Frankie Edgar or Eddie Alvarez.  They both seem like pretty cool guys, and are both on the top of their game right now.  Love the way they fight too.

@Gregory and @Kalibo, I heard that Aleksander Emelianenko has Hep. C.  I'm guessing this is why he's not fighting much now.

Jon Jones - The only bet i've ever made on mma was his fight with Bonnar, I had never seen him fight and was a big Bonnar fan. I bet my friend $20 that bones would win. I had no idea why, i just saw his physique and hoped he had the skills to go along with it. He obviously does, but I won $20 on it. Stupid reason, but ever since that I've been a big fan.

@michigandolphin, I feel the same way about Jardine. I put $200(I wish I'd bet $1000) on him when he fought Chuck and raked in $650.
Ever since then i just can't help but love the guy win or lose.

@geezhound come on tell us we've all made stupid picks and a lot of us have put money on them too.
One of my favourite bet stories is when i got tricked into betting the girlfriend's dad 50$ on randy vs big tim. He was like big tim is just too big and randy is just too old.  My only reply was i wont bet against randy he took that as a bet and paid me the 50$ lol.
My buddy matt, (mstronger on here) and i often bet 2$ a fight just for fun

@Piercerdan, at the time it seemed like a decent idea. Jason Macdonald had just subbed Ed Herman and Chris Leben within a few months of eachother and he was on a 6 win streak. Rich Frankilin had just been massacred by Anderson and it appeared to me that his head just wasn't in the game. Macdonald was at +400 so I decided to put $300 on him.
I may as well have just set the money on fire.

Rich was and is on a whole different level than Herman/Leben though.  I thought Hendo would beat Anderson.. we all have our moments!  Jmac is fighting on UFC 129... lets see if he can get back on track!

Jmac cost be 3 bills that night when he refused to meet the 3rd round bell. I wouldn't have been bitter if he lost the fight, but if you're going to submit, do it on the canvas, not on the stool like he did.
I could care less about him now.

@kalibo i totally agree with rich being on another level.  I still thought jmac was going to come back even after that fight.
