Evan Tanner - Remembrance Thread

Four years ago today Evan Tanner passed away and i thought it would be good to have a remembrance/appreciation style thread to share any thoughts and/or favourite pics, gifs and videos

If I were standing opposed to him in this staredown, it would be a quick verbal submission due to inferior manliness.

I was just talking to my buddies about Evan yesterday. One of the most intimidating fighters. I think it was Homer Moore(?) that he gave one of the biggest beatdowns to I've ever seen to this day. Remember watching it on VHS many many years ago. R.I.P. Evan.

I actually got to meet Evan about 6 months before he died. He was at the autograph session before UFC 84. He was such an awesome dude.

I have a pic with him but I don't feel like posting myself here.

Evan Tanner was quite simply THEEEE ****. I just like 99% of MMA fans miss this  guy. Awesome thread! 

Evan Tanner was the ****, very entertaining fighter to watch and a great guy
it´s ******* sad to lose him like that

Even when he was losing and just getting battered he took it like such a goddam champ! 

IF you're a fan this is a nice watch, about 20 minutes in total. Awesome! RIP Evan Tanner, great fighter, even greater person.

He was a righteous dude.  Didn't he come to the octagon to All Along the Watchtower by Hendrix?  That was ******* awesome.

His wars with Rich were epic... great guy.

I was deployed when he passed and was bummed to learn the news, I got a boxer puppy when I got home and named it Tanner in memory of one of my favorite fighters

@mike thanks for posting those videos.  

Tanner is one of the few people i get choked up about when i think about him.  Never met him, but was a fan for a long time. 

Evan Tanner was quite possibly the best personality in the sport imo. He never let the 'fame' get to him, he stayed humble all the way through, which is awesome.

Evan Tanner I believe is really underrated. He was ranked top 10 LW at one point and was also not only ranked top 10 MW but was actually ranked number 1 middle weight in the world at one point. I also think he may have even been a top rank heavy weight at one point.
