I dont think hes lying about being injured but why even bother saying it? Pull out the fight or don't make an excuse. End of.

Seems a bit Tito-esque.

Should've only brought up the injury to delay any talks of his next fight.

With all the other injuries we as fans are disappointed when fights fizzle, but we get over it

Seriously, don't fight if you're going to make excuses with a loss. There's a 50/50 change of losing every fight, we get it, people lose, no need to throw this info out now.

if a fighter is too injured to fight, they need to pull out before the fight, not ***** about it after. This drives me crazy. If he won, I doubt he would have brought it up. I lose respect for fighters everytime they do this crap. I'm sure that his injury hindered him but how do we know that boetsch didn't have something wrong too?

I feel like fighters do this all the time. Whether it's a bad showing or they lose they blame it on an injury. Of course you're injured it's mma. Nobody is 100% going into a fight and if by some miracle you are then after the 1st round you're not anymore.

I wonder if we'd ever hear about this injury had Lombard won.

Why a fighter will still use an injury as an excuse after losing is beyond my understanding.  It never does any good for them.  Only makes them look worse in my opinion while trying to detract from their opponent's win.

If the injury the fighter's complaining about shows up in the injury report, then maybe I'll give a ****.  Latest report says nothing about Lombard having any injuries, for whatever it's worth.

I think fighting injured to the point you can't fight near your full ability is letting the fans down, not keeping them happy. Pulling out of a scheduled fight due to injury is disappointing for us, but I'd rather see our guys 90%+ healthy and fighting, not overly injured and tentative.

Lombard really did himself no favors with this...his debut sucked an now he is making himself look worse by making excuses...definitely not the start he needed to make a quick run at the title

Like everyone else, I call ******** to this.  I'm sure he really was injured, but there's no need to bring it up now.  Hell, Boestch broke his damn foot and still won, you don't think he was hindered at all?

Ugh, whatever.  It is what it is.  Lombard has done himself no favors (certainly not with me anyway, I'm already irritated that he put on a **** debut when I had been on his bandwagon.....).   But he'll have plenty of time to make up for his rough start and still can have an amazing career!  But he'll need to stop the excuses and in all fairness really should drop to Welterweight...
