Boxing, Wrestling, Taekwondo, Judo?

I've always watched the wrestling since I wrestled in high school, and the boxing because I was into boxing, but was never into the individual disciplines of of martial arts until this Olympic games. I'm definitely going to watch them all, but I'm probablly most excited for the Judo. I just wish they had Jiu Jitsu(I don't know why they don't have it). What's everyone else looking forward to?

Is there a way to pick what you want to see? like different channels for different events? from my past expiriences all they put on is swimming which i like , running and gymnastics and diving it seems . I'm interested in seeing the judo though.

Edit : It's been 4 years so i could be wrong but thats all i ever saw . definatly no combat sports.

Jiu-Jitsu should definitely be in it!

Boxing for sure.. That's the only thing in the Olympics that Ireland is ever good at so we usually pick up a medal or two!

I recommend everyone watch Katie Taylor crush every other female boxer that dares get in the ring with her.. It's gonna be a hoot!

There will be chips and homemade dip but byob.

In this internet age you can see every single event you want to. I could watch Portuguese diving right now if I wanted.

You can watch any sport live on the nbc site.

I want to see judo, and watch Kayla Harrison get the first gold medal for the US ever.
I don't think they would ever make jiu-jitsu an olympic sport simply because of judo. They are too similar. That's one of the reasons they changed a lot of rules in judo recently. The IOC said it was too similar to wrestling.

I wonder if the female Judo Olympian from Saudi Arabia will be forced to pull out (IOC declared headscarfs illegal)

It doesnt sound like that Saudi competitor has much of a chance.  Only been doing Judo for 2 years, its good they are allowing her to compete.  The Saudi's worry about their reputation in western world which probably helped getting her to compete without the hijab.
