Victory MMA 7 - Discussion Thread

The best amateur promotion in Quebec is back! All the fights from Victory 7 will be uploaded on youtube in HD shortly after the event.

Kevin Walker is going after his first amateur title in the main event! He’ll face one of the best featherweight fighters Quebec as to offer, 8-1 champion Xavier Alaoui. Both fighters have an excellent ground game and improving standup skills. 
They share 1 common opponent; in his last fight, Alaoui lost by TKO in the third round against Sam Moisan. One month later, Walker submitted Moisan in 23 seconds.
Xavier Alaoui has been in a lot of big fights and main events in his amateur career, he’ll have the experience advantage.

In the co-main event, Stephen Oppong will look for his 7th consecutive win when he’ll challenge the champion, Alex Fecteau. Fecteau is very dangerous on the ground and has been around for a long time, while Oppong is very well rounded and ever improving.

Rob Rivest (4-1) is making his comeback against Joe Elliott (2-2). Both fighters have good MMA skills and a ton of fighting experience; it should be a good, close fight.

Former kickboxer and hard hitter Sam Moisan made his MMA debut against Olivier Carrier; he lost by armbar in the second round. 9 months later he’ll have a rematch and try to avenge his first MMA loss.

Matthew Rusniack is one of Quebec top amateur kickboxers, but tomorrow night he’ll face Nicolas Ghantous in a MMA fight.

Philip Martinet  took a fight on 1 day notice against Sebastien Thibault, don't forget to check your predictions -> Bout Page

Dam, Canadians really know how to submit people

Well props to Xavier alaoui, he looked awesome and his judo is sick. I spoke with him after the fight, he told me at least 5 times tapology is awesome, I also gave him a shirt, he was so happy! Sam moisan looked great too, he has a ton of power. The event was great, I had a great time even if 2/3 fighters I know lost.

Kevin walker had his tapology shirt on all night long, it was awesome! Stephen Oppong had it on his head for his entrance, he was going for the rashad entrance haha! Too bad they both lost, they're so nice! They both did a great fight and gave everything they had, they'll be back!

wow, did i actually won this? well, my apologies for not going with the Tapology guys, and better luck for them next time! also, Xavier Alaoi seems like a cool dude.

great event, i would have liked a t-shirt lol, tapology rules, i watch the bout forums and win lose percentages all the time leading up to my fights, really makes me happy to see i have so many people supporting me, great job with the website!

awesome man, rob was a tough fight, i was looking for some gnp or a submission, his striking is unreal, i just couldnt get the finish, well ill hopefully be fighting in august again for victory 8, thanks again for the support!
