Instinct MMA 4 Predictions

Here are my top predictions for the event.

Diamond pick: Mandel Nallo
Trainning at the Tristar, this promising young fighter will make his pro debut. He’s an outstanding striker with an ever improving ground game. He'll be a killer now that he’s fighting with small gloves in a big cage.

Platinum pick: Pascal Chambodie 
His opponent took the fight on less than a week notice and he’s 0-3 amateur on sherdog. Pascal Chambodie is a beast and he’s as ready as you can be for a fight.

Gold pick: Brandon Thatch  
Martin Grandmont is in the best shape of his life, it won't be enough… Thatch is on another level.

Silver pick/mismatch of the week: Rémy Bussières
When Instinct MMA president was asked about this fight and why Rémy Bussières was fighting a 1-3 fighter with his only win against a 0-7 guy, all he had to say: “Dave was the only one who wanted to fight Rémy”.
Rémy Bussières is a beast, the amateur rules really weren’t a good fit with his style, he’s much better now that he’s fighting pro MMA.

Bronze pick: Mansour Barnaoui 
One of the best European prospects according to Sherdog. Kevin lee looked good in his last fight, but Mansour should take this one.

Booby pick : Oulmoudéné Najebe  
He’s training with GSP and Francis Carmont on a regular basis, both should be in his corner for the fight. Him and his opponent are standup fighter making their MMA debut.

Richard Arsenault (Elite MMA 1 WW champ) and Alex Morgan are 2 of his best students. They'll both corner him for his fight.

I think i've seen Derek Parker play hockey. If it's the guy i'm thinking of, he was an enforcer, so it makes sense. Interesting.

Yes, it's him! Just as Steve Bossé, he was one of the best "hockey fighter" of the LNAH

@ProdigyKid14 it's the very same Derek Parker, you're not mistaken. Good call. Where did you see him play?

I definitely knew about Steve Bosse, that guy used to beat the crap out of everybody. It's cool to see some of those guys having success in MMA.

@anik i saw Parker play hockey when he had a stint with the Flint Generals of the IHL (used to be the UHL). i don't think he played there very long. the place where they used to play is about an hour's drive from where i live. tickets were like ten bucks, it used to be something fun to do on a friday night when that league was still around.

@ProdigyKid14 don't forget about the biggest hockey enforcer in MMA now, the legendary Donald Brashear (I don't know if he's still fighting but I remember when he did).

that's right, i forgot Brashear went to MMA. i think he only had that one fight though.

He was supposed to have another fight but he got injured. I don't know if we'll see him again.. I hope!

Just watched  Mansour Barnaoui first and only MMA fight... he did looked good but his opponent didn't impressed me at all.




Kevin Lee and Mansour Barnaoui are both 1-0 in MMA, and 19 yeras old.
Kevin Lee is 9-0 in amateur MMA and Barnaoui 6-0 in Pancrase.

Hard fight to call imo, but I'll definitely keep an eye on the winner of this one!
