I liked Story for a while. He did some pretty cool stuff (good fight with Hendricks and subbing Foster by arm-triangle choke from full guard), but his last 3 outings have turned me off from him.

UFC did jardine dirty by giving him story in his first ufc fight. Seems weird that they would match up a solid prospect in his first fight against a guy whos been basically a top 10 fringe fighter.

Story could probably put him away but will probably get a decision...he's too good to lose here if he's taking this fight seriously, and a loss would hurt him bad...he's sort of in that Pierce, Brenneman situation right now but he could enter the top ten if he works on his striking

Story can be taken down and isn't great off his back... but I think he's fought better wrestlers than Jardine. In the stand-up I have to slightly favour Story... Need to watch some video on Jardine though.

Ah, Rick Story. The guy who was on FIRE under he ran into Charlie Brenneman. Since losing that fight and also one with Martin Kampmann, Story's now lost 2 straight and gets a pretty good prospect in Brock Jardine. I smell a potential Fight of the Night candidate. Rick win get the judges nod and will attept to recreate the Horror Story and get back into title contention.

Not sure how this match was made... seems kind of unfair... unless they see something pretty special in Jardine, Story should be able to bulldoze right through the newcomer.

On fire until he ran into Brenneman but if you'll recall the timeline correctly, Rumble pulled out of a matchup with Marquardt due to injury and Story agreed to step in on a few weeks notice after his hard fought win over Thiago Alves with almost no training camp to face Marquardt, then Marquardt pulled out on 1 days notice giving the already late notice Story one day to prepare for Brenneman when he'd beaten Thiago Alves less than one month prior and was filling in on short notice preparing for Marquardt.

When there's that big of a cluster**** on replacements and switches and notice time, fighters are not at their best in conditioning or gameplanning. I'd say Brenneman lucked out to catch Story with basically zero training camp, shortly after the Alves fight, and only knowing he was going to face Charlie 24 hours before the fight. Story would decimate Brenneman if they prepared for each other and had full training camps imo.
