I know he fought a couple months and has 1 coming up. But whatever happened to him coming back to the UFC? I heard a whle ago he was supposed to come back after 123, he never did? Could have been a rumor. But still, dafuq?

I love Karo Parisyan and he's one of my favorite fighters.  But having said that, I think he has problems in his head.  Psychological issues.  Always has excuses, lame alibis, blames everyone but himself for his career going sideways.

He has the tools, the potential to be a contender, but needs to straighten his head out.

Basically Karo ****** up a muscle in his leg (****s up some of his Judo throws from what Rogan said) and got addicted to pain killers and backed out of his fight the day before the fight which made Dana White royally pissed saying Karo would never fight in the UFC ever again. After rehabbing and few years Karo pleaded with Dana and Dana gave him Hallman and Karo did horrible against Hallman which caused him to be kicked from the UFC again. Now he is taking fights here and there with a string of bad luck. He was actually winning the Ryan Ford fight until he got that cut in the third and then he fought Jordan Smith (a close split decision). He did get a win recently at WMMA 1 (the card that Don Frye commentated).

@wish paints a nice, accurate story of the longer history.. Karo could have/would have been a top 3 WW if not for that damn addiction.... Addictions are endless guys/gals... it's doing push ups.. waiting for you to come out of rehab.. come out of the cage... Karo couldn't overcome quick enough and suffered.. shame. He was (hopefully still is) very talented.

I was a pretty big Karo fan when he first broke onto the scene and a part of me still cheers for him (or at least hope him the best) in the interview he does seem motivated to get back to a high level but I'm not so sure if he can do it.  He does talk about his appearance on TUF5 which was pretty entertaining.

Karo is a good dude. His interview on the MMA Hour a while back gives a good insight into the way he thinks.

I will never forget the first time I saw Karo fighting in the UFC, totally blew my mind. There is nothing so awesome as flipping a guy on his head.

One of my fave subs is a Karo TD into kimura, its sickly delicious.

I was at 123, it was sad seeing Karo lose like that. I'll never forget seeing him fight Strasser, that whole fight was just awesome.

Karo deserved better.. I fear his prime was stolen by that damn addiction.

Injuries,Addiction and an Anxiety Disorder completely destroyed his career. Its sad cause we still havent seen a guy with a judo base use it as effectively as karo. Hawn uses it, but not anywhere near as often or as effective as karo.

Bailey's out. John Gunderson will be moving up to 170 to fight Karo on the 16th. Been thinking about going to this one, excellent card:

It's a long fall going from the UFC to fighting a no name fighter in a no name show. He looked good at least. Hopefully he can string a few together and get back to fights that matter.
