Light heavyweight record or all-time record?
Chuck must be the LHW record-holder in the UFC, right? I think he defended it 4 times after beating Randy for it at UFC 52.
4 is a very beatable record, but then again there are also some very good light heavyweight fighters right now that would make up those 4+ defenses. Rampage, Rashad, Machida, maybe Phil Davis...

Back then they would just put together whatever fights they could, there wasn't much hierarchy in any division. I want to say that Sinosic was a late replacement, but I forget.

Sinosic got the shot when he tapped #1 contender Jeremy Horn.

Yea i think LHW is the UFC's deepest division. Bones has all the tools though, but so young.
Liddels reign was epic though, some of the best KOs ever.

It would be pretty sweet to see another dominant light heavyweight champion. If anyone has the tools and athleticism to do it, it's Jones. He's so young. As long as he doesn't move up to heavyweight prematurely I think he can break Tito's record. Though to be honest it would probably only take 2 or 3 title defences for Bones' reign to look more impressive than Tito's.

Chuck was the last fighter to really start to pull himself away from the rest of the division. It would be good to see a LHW champ that is like a Anderson or GSP. Of course Chuck, Tito, and Frank were a different time for MMA. The competition now is even tougher than when Chuck was champion let alone Tito or Frank. People thought Machida would be the guy to do that but Shogun put a pretty quick end to his title reign. It will be tough for anyone else to beat either winner of the Jones vs Shogun fight, whoever wins that fight may hold the title for some time.

Shogun and Jones are the top of the LHW class, they are both young and extremely athletic. I think the only thing that doesn't allow Shogun to hold the record for most defenses is a powerful wrestler like Jones and the health of his own body. This division is always so damn fun and interesting to watch!

I think he loses to Rashad. The way was lost in the first round against Machida, demonstrated his weaknesses and fighting a very strategic guy like Rashad I think he loses.

I think Rashad will get the next shot and will lose via UD but he will expose some holes in Jon Jones' game and then Dan Henderson will come in and rip those holes wide open and beat him.

Jones could very well beat the LHW title defense record. But I think his dominance will end alot sooner then alot of people think.
