I could never get down with lost, same way I could.can never get down with M Night Shyamalan. The irony of that type of writing is that in trying to be as unpredictable as possible, it winds up being more predictable than standard linear writing. Playing around with time is fun.....I do it in my own stuff, but I'm more interested in the dimensional of moments and the interconnectedness of moments than setting up 'big reveals' and 'Gotchas' or 'what-if-instead" type deals.
It's a bit like a jump scare in a haunted house; you know the ghoul is going to jump out from behind something even if you don't know when, or what it will look like....

@fish so true... all these twists and the use of deus ex machina is really far more revealing of something else, thin material and poor research on the writers part then of course some producers ****** up as they went along with it. But we need it all, bad and good material, as there would be none without the other.

Also 'you look after your mates and your mates will look after you' is basically the Australian outlook explained perfectly. That's basically it in a nutshell.

I had one of these slither through my yard a few years back.
And although I will bag some snakes( even red bellies) I noped out of that one. Number 1 bad ************s, these guys. VERY aggressive in the wild and very fast. They are in New Guinea too and kill about 600 people per year because they don't have access to Antivenine and the death rate without this is 100%.
Nobody who isn't a pro should ever try and capture them for relocation. I will never forget it moving along the lawn with its head up in the air.....never seen a snake do that before because it makes them more visible to predators, but this guy knew exactly what he was. Incredible attitude...basically '"I ******* dare you, champ". In RL that pale head is whiter, it's something to do with how it reflects or captures the light. It looks a bare skull. Impressive, beautiful yet terrifying creatures. I had been told they were in my area but didn't believe it until I saw one. Quite rare.
Dunno how many people that Venom is enough to kill. Hundreds if not thousands. It's very good at killing people because it is adapted to work fast on mammals. They hunt things in burrows, so the venom needs to work quick enough to kill prey before it scurries off and is lost. I hope this guy gets paid a lot. **** that
