I went back all the way to the 20th page and didn't see anyone who started a thread about movies. If there is one, just let this thread sink away into the abyss of thread history, but if not, this is something we can talk about. We've got one for every sport, music, and TV shows. So I figured might as well.

Saw It and it was good but not great. I thought Tom Curry was better as Pennywise. Also the kids were more believable. Ben's character looked like he was 10 and most of the others did not look their age either.

Have you seen the 1990 miniseries lately? Other than Tim Curry's performance as Pennywise the rest is mediocre at best. The remake is far better at least in my mind. I also thought the kids did great. Most the kid actors range from 13 to 16 the kid who plays Ben is 14. Also the human antagonists like the sociopathic racist bully and Bev's skeevy dad can be far more disturbing than Pennywise.

But you know what is more disturbing than anything in "It," the movie "Mother!" now that's a ****** up movie. The third act in that flick is unsettling as hell. Warning like many of Aronofsky's movies it works a lot in metaphor and not everyone will like it or even understand it. Some have called it one of the most controversial movies since 'A Clockwork Orange" now I know why.

The new IT is better than the original miniseries in almost every conceivable way. Even with the (very few) complaints I have about it, it is sooo much better. Tim Curry as Pennywise is the only redeeming quality about the original, and even that doesn't hold up too well today.

The last couple of movies I enjoyed in recent years that I can remember are the End of the Tour and Ex Machina.

Beasts of the Southern Wild was also fantastic.

Some other great Indie movies are Moonrise Kingdom ( not really Indie),  Thumbsucker,  and if you're into mystery documentaries Resurrect Dead: The toynbee Tiles mystery.

The Movie Industry can create more equality since the Harvey Weinstein affair broke the news... Both genders deserve to express their sensuality in magestic ways the most possible pleasure is the end achievement ( delay of gratification..)

(edit**)

I also think,
The gender pay gap within The Movie Industry needs to be addressed, Scarlett Johanssen deservea to paid more than Tom Cruise and also in Net Worth. I don"t agree with Male Actors receiving more pay than Our Girls. We need to fix this problem or Alaska

The sad part is the wage gap only exists in the entertainment industry (sports, tv, movies) where they are supposed to be most progessive. Do as i say not as i do.

The idea and narrative there is even a "pay gap" based on gender to begin with, even in the nepotistic and hypocritical far left bubble that is Hollywood, is stupid.  It's an earnings gap that is not centered around gender at all.  The far left cooked up this narrative as a means to decry and root out meritocracy.  But, as much as I would love to further elaborate, I'd rather keep this on topic than go down the eventual downward spiral of political shouting matches through text.

Bill Burr already figured this out. Men get paid more because we are honorable yet disposable to society. We have to stay on crashing planes, sinking ships and are left for dead in hostage situations while the women and children are saved. Nothing about politics or even the job. Its about honor.

Hereditary is fantastic. Other good ones: Infinity War, Annihilation, Deadpool 2, Beast, You Were Never Really Here, Isle of Dogs, Tully, A Quiet Place, Game Night, heck eve Solo turned out to be alot of fun despite production problems.

Saw the movie "Upgrade" today which turned out to be really good. "Death Wish" style revenge thriller meets "Ex Machina" style sentient AI sci-fi thriller with a sprinkling of horror level blood and violence.
