This is a hard fight to pick Kelly in even knowing he somehow nearly always wins. Brunson has the power to put him out and a huge reach advantage.

oooh ... tough matchup for Kelly ... but it's what he asked for. I'm usually on the Kelly hype train (#DadsArmy fo'life) by I think this is where his run ends. Maybe even in brutal fashion.

I've won underdog money on Kelly twice and even though he is probably supposed to lose this match, i think maybe somehow dad bob just out grinds or possibly catches him or even out paces him. to win via decision i know the odds will be good picking the underdog to win via dec.

I have so much trouble bringing myself to pick Kelly because he always looks so stiff and unnatural every time he fights. He keeps winning though somehow and I still might pick against him here.

this is a bullshit fight for kelly. I get rankings and what not but it still bullshit.  He on large winning streak and just beat rashad which means way more then brunson and now he has to fight brunson on a two fight losing streak?  This is a lose lose fight for him.  UFC doing him dirty with this matchup.

Beating Rashad would have meant more than Brunson at one point, but Rashad's totally shot and Brunson should have won his last fight with Anderson Silva.

Brunson is a big step up for Kelly a win would mean a lot for him. Of course he has to win first which is not likely, though he does keep doing so despite being a perpetual underdog. I think the match up is more lose lose for Brunson as beating Kelly won't help him much and a loss would drop him out of the top 10 and put him in danger of being cut.

Is Brunson wins he beating the guy on the seconded largest winning streak in the divison who just beat Rashad evans.  If Kelly wins, he no closer to a title shot and beat a guy on a two fight losing skid.  Kelly winniong does almost nothing for him, he wont move any closer to a title shot and will still have to beat a top guy.  If he loses he kisses any chance of title shot. From a standing point it make sense, but the way the UFC currently operates this is a lose lose for Kelly.  If he wins, he gains nothing, if he loses, he loses everything.  This is a great fight for Brunson on the other hand

kelly has been winning some fights he shouldn't (even though i picked him over the shell of rashad), but i think brunson has the speed advantage. i thought he beat anderson and this is obviously a step down.

He never should have beaten Rashad but he did. Maybe he can do something like that again.

Kelly is on a 4 fight winning streak which is not rare in any division. Bisping is on a 5 fight win streak, Romero is on an 8 fight win streak, Whittaker is on a 6 fight win streak, Gegard is on a 5 fight win streak. Kelly is not a contender in any way at the moment but beating Brunson may put him in the top 10 so there is an upside for him if he wins. If he can't beat Brunson he is not a contender anyway and will just be a gatekeeper for the rest of his career. Which would probably be short considering his age.

I was off about the seconded longest win streak, I thought he was at 5 for some reason and forgot romero was on such a long winning streak. I always for some reason assume he lost that fight to Souza.  I agree he not top contender, however beating a top contender would make him one. Beating Brunson will do nothing for him. Top 10 does not mean much when the UFC won't think anything of him beating Brunson who on a two fight losing streak. This fight at best leaves him in the same spot in the UFC eyes, which is why this is a shitty fight for Kelly who does not have many left in him. He does nothing for him in the UFC eyes and at best if he wins, he stays in the same spot he was.  He still need to beat two contenders after brunson.  To me it just seems like a foolish fight that designed to get Brunson on track and does nothing for kelly, who likely has very limited amount of fights left in him.
