Ray Mercer Wiki

Ray Mercer is a former Olympic Gold medalist in boxing as well as the former NABF Heavyweight Champion and WBO heavyweight champion. Mercer would try his hand at MMA with an exhibition match against street fighter Kimbo Slice in 2007. He would lose the match in the first round via guillotine choke from Slice. Mercer would make his professional MMA debut in 2009 against former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia. He handed Sylvia his first knockout loss finishing the fight in 9 seconds.
