Jamie Yager Wiki

Jamie Yager is an American Welterweight fighter currently signed to Bellator. He was a standout athlete in high school and started training Jiu Jitsu as a hobby in college. He eventually transitioned to full MMA and was invited by Rampage Jackson's former coach to appear on the BET show "Iron Ring". He made his professional debut on the show and picked up a KO victory. Although he does not have an extensive martial arts background, he has been able to use his height to pick opponents apart and has scored multiple head kick finishes. All but one of the fights he has been in have been finished.

Jamie was selected to be on the eleventh season of The Ultimate Fighter after achieving a record of 2-1. He defeated Ben Stark to get into the house and was placed on Tito Ortiz's team. While in the house, he was in numerous confrontations with various cast members throughout the show. He would pick up another TKO victory to move to the quarterfinals but would lose to Josh Bryant after not answering the bell for the third round. After Jamie nearly got into a fight in the house after being eliminated, multiple cast members said they wanted to fight him at the finale. Rich Antonito would get the privilege and was able to defeat Yager by TKO in the second round. Jamie was subsequently cut from the promotion.

Since his time with the UFC, he has compiled a 4-1 record with his only loss coming to former UFC fighter, Josh Burkman. He was signed by Bellator in 2012 and is set to make his debut at Bellator 85 against Joe Williams.
