Alida Gray Wiki
Alida Yvette Gray is an American judoka and mixed martial artist from North Hollywood, California. She has started training Judo at the age of 9 and has competed internationally until the age of 23 including winning the Pan American Championship and qualifying as an alternate for the 1996 U.S. Olympic judo team. A member of Texas' Bushido Team, she started an amateur mixed martial arts career in 2010 after adding wrestling to her repertoire.
After compiling an amateur MMA record of 4-1 Gray has made her professional MMA debut in 2013 against a veteran of WMMA, Patricia Vidonic in a fight which she won via an armbar submission in the second round. She has competed in MMA 3 more times in 2013, winning all of her fights via T/KO before earning a title shot for the inaugural WSOF Women Strawweight Championship against Jessica Aguilar at the WSOF 8 show in January 2014. She came out short in her efforts after being taken down early in the fight and submitted with an arm-triangle choke at only 2:35 in the first round.
