On 12 January, it was announced that Redmond was signed to the UFC to replace injured Alan Omer and face undefeated Mirsad Bektic at UFC on FOX 14: Gustafsson vs. Johnson. Coming in at +600 it was not a surprise to anyone for Redmond to lose decisively to  the Bektic via Unanimous Decision.
