Anthony Martinez (born January 8, 1999) is an American Professional Boxer born and raised in Miami, FL. He comes from a Cuban family who introduced him to the sport of boxing and he came to love the sport at a young age. To add on, he participated in Amateur Boxing from an early age where he won several State Golden Gloves and other major tournaments. Short after, he was introduced to Professional Boxing at the age of 17 years old and joined the world class professional boxing team known as Mundo Boxing. Martinez is trained by world renowned trainer Dr. Pedro Diaz, owner and founder of Mundo Boxing. Martinez made his professional debut on February 24, 2018. Anthony has climbed through the rankings by defeating notable veterans such as Milton Nunez (01/17/2020) and Fulgencio Zuniga (11/18/2019). Martinez became WBO Latino Champion by defeating veteran Evert Bravo (03/06/2021) making him ranked 15th in the world by the WBO. Retaining his WBO Latino Title, Anthony successfully made his first title defense against Christian Galvez (06/04/2021).
