Wiki

UFC Fight Night 1 Wiki

After the overwhelming success of The Ultimate Fighter 1 Finale on Spike TV, the UFC returned to the cable television network later that year for the first in a long-running series of free fight cards designed to feature up-and-coming and fan-favorite talents in the organization. The Spike TV series was christened the UFC’s Ultimate Fight Night.

Featured prominently on the main card of the first Fight Night were cast members from the first season of The Ultimate Fighter, including Nate Quarry, Stephan Bonnar, and Chris Leben. Skilled Pancrase veteran Nate Marquardt made his promotional debut on the card as well.
