Wiki
UFC 67 Wiki
Originally meant to feature the welterweight title fight between Georges St-Pierre and Matt Serra along with the Middleweight title fight between Anderson Silva and Travis Lutter, UFC 67 instead ended up bereft of a title fight. St-Pierre was forced off the card due to injury, while Lutter failed to make weight, making his main event bout with Silva a non-title fight.
Before Silva submitted Lutter with a surprising Triangle Choke in the second round, Pride FC superstars Rampage Jackson and Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic each made successful promotion debuts in what could be considered tune-up competition. Under the radar, future UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Lyoto Machida fought on the unaired preliminary card.
